Diseased TV Tropes community

Well, looks like the Rei Clone page could be on the chopping block soon. Anyone want to look through it and point out all the blatantly wrong examples?
I say again, these fucks have too much time on their hands if they insist on purging perfectly good character tropes. They recently deleted the Darth Vader Clone trope as well, never mind the fact that there are legions of blatant homages to the wheezy masked man through the decades, and I can't even find a good explanation as to why. Lot of good a trope site is if you keep getting rid of tropes that even a layman could potentially ID

They're starting to put Tropes back in response to that ass chewing they got in the TRS thread and they sound so pissed about it.

"We can't delete the trope anymore, but how can we ruin it for everyone?"

"Art style trope"?! This is way more than "bad guy in full-body mask". A LOT of writers took inspiration from the "I am your father" scene to make secret parent villains and to treat the parenthood as a reveal. The "Luke I Am Your Father" and "Archnemesis Dad" tropes are directly spun out of acknowledging Vader's influence! Yes, there's tons of overlap, but you've got tons of tropes that are just "variations"/sub-tropes/the exact same as other tropes. You've got The Dragon, Dragon-In-Chief, Dragon With An Agenda, Number Two and The Heavy as tropes, don't you?

Hmm? Oh this one is for Hartman Hips. I'm just stuck on the fact that HH was open for 3 hours and they immediately got to work trying to subvert it. Which trope are they trying to screw over on your end?

I think it's in reference to my complaint concerning Darth Vader Clones. Currently the page is a disambiguation article built from some of the components of what composed Vader Clones, with “I Am Your Father” as one of them. Goes without saying that I dislike the deletion of pages for particularly notable “Fountains of Expies” since most of those characters have firmly entrenched themselves into the public conscious in a way that you can easily notice when somebody used them as inspiration for a character in their own works. Poor curation of said pages should be met with cleanups, not total destruction.

I've given up on trying to convince them. You tell them in simple words that they don't need to mass delete pages and they treat you like a crying baby at a grocery store
Kind of reminds me of how some autists "see" an problem that is either nonexistent or is incredibly trivial and their solution borders on actually destroying it because it isn't perfect, in their own eyes.

As with TVT...Nothing is stopping the owners from hard-coding in an site-wide banner that lists the next article that's about to be purged.

Yet another satisfied customer. Let's see if there's anything noteworthy about his complaint.

Turns out that nobody has an sense of humor, nowadays. And they have an minor issue with users stalking each other, as per fucking usual.

This exchange really made me laugh. Maybe it's the 4chan in me, but I'm not used to people announcing reports. Richard trying to do the snarky "devil-may-care" thing is super cringe. I don't think he realized that he's not very popular.
