He wants to make a lot of money to justify his existence to his rich dad. He sees that Garfield is a popular character that makes a lot of money, therefore, he must license Garfield. He doesn't understand why Garfield is an appealing character, he doesn't understand that he has to make a product that aligns with the character. He just thinks "Garfield likes food, I will set up a Garfield restaurant and it will make a billion dollars because people like Garfield."

Is it weird that Nathen is quickly becoming one of my favorite lolcows on this site? He only uses his own money (well, his dad's but his dad is a billionaire so he has more than enough to spare) to fund his lolcow-pursuits, he isn't meanspirited, he put his lolcow-tier political views behind a paywall (Arabialosis? book) and generally doesn't discuss politics openly, he's accepting of Jews (although Hasan-level antisemitism isn't particularly common in Dubai or Saudi Arabia/is viewed as déclassé), makes hilarious social media posts, generally accepts his failures in life/quickly moves on to whatever new venture he comes up with, hasn't gotten into any nonsensical beefs with other wanna-be influencers and/or got himself canceled. IDK, it's just a breath of fresh air.

Well, now I feel very silly All I saw was Nathen's Instagram & old English TikTok, not his Twitter. Also, I thought he mostly lived in Dubai.

Keep in mind that this isn’t new behavior, he has been bitching about Canadian politics since day one, and occasionally American too. Like he congratulated Trump for instance.

While I'm sure he cosplays as poor/working class like all rich influencers tend to do, Nathen's complaining about tariffs comes across as him being very pissed that Trump just threw a wrench into his meal ticket (since a good chunk of Nathen's dad's billions comes from Canadian food distribution).

In this particular case he was accusing the Lebanese government of knowing about it beforehand. Consider that Quinton has a long history of exaggerating and misconstruing what other people say and his testimony is all I've because I don't think the stories he is talking about were archived.
