And judging by Trump's comments, he's gonna turn it into exactly the kind of nationless, globalist, cosmopolitan paradise everyone insists the USA and Europe are supposed to be. I don't care about Palestinians, but I also don't want their blood on our hands. I don't want to become their protector, or their meal ticket, or their brief masters before deportation and dispersal. I want nothing to do with this tribal blood feud and the shitty little strip of territory they pretend it's all about.

I don't care if Trump turns it into a cosmopolitan success story. I'm never going over there, and it will never turn a profit for us. Who will enjoy it? Arabs, Israelis, some Europeans? Why do I care if they turn a shithole into yet another vacation spot? It'll be nice if there's no wars there for a while, but this isn't a good enough guarantee there will be no war. I do not for one second believe the same Arab states that invaded Israel before the Gaza Strip was in conflict will stop attacking Israel after it's no longer an issue. And now we'll have American "interests" in striking range to give us an excuse to get involved.

This is a bad investment and I expected better of the Don.
