They are seemingly wrong. A friend of mine played the game yesterday maxed (1080p) out and it ran stable with 60 fps on his 5 year old mediocre PC. Also as he told me and judging from the screenshots he sent me, the game absolutely looks like the first KCD graphics wise, there has been pretty much no improvements whatsoever unless it's small details like textures.
He also complained quite a bit about the shit tutorial, a variety of bugs and that the english translation is crap with numerous mistakes (he is czech) and they really hint at the gay shit between Henry and Hans right from the start as they get nearly naked and jump in a pond

Once you know what's coming, it really does get ridiculous. It's clear this was written by a women, if the devs openly posting a picture of the two kissing on twitter didn't clue you in. Even when it's not filled with innuendo, the moment the two ride into town(tutorial still isn't over btw) it's just one humiliation ritual after another, it's really creepy. There had to have been a more tasteful way to make sure that Henry starts with nothing and with low stats again.

Because they want to clean themselves and they attempt to get close to women who are also at the pond. There is a whole stealth mission to look at the women and they are shown as horny straight men. There is a big contradiction here. The gay choice makes no fucking sense at all. First they are ogling at women but then suddenly they can be turned into cock hungry bug chasers. This is another case of character assassination by woke DEI faggots.

Gonna give my opinion on the game after playing up until the point where the game opens up after the intro.
Also on the controversies.

The dialogue is as strong as in the first game, maybe even a bit stronger. They talk very naturally, christianity is depicted as central to life as it was, and not at all in a negative light. Hans' and Henry's friendship was very natural in the first game, and it continues this trend in the first part of the game. The world is still stunning, only a slight upgrade to KDC1 though. Runs great on my machine. I heard from a few reviewers that the crime system is better than in 1, and I hope that's true.

Addressing the drama, while I do not like either Durka of Mali or the Hans-romance, I think most people are overreacting to it because of Vavra's previous comments and even mocking woke games like DA Veilguard for failing.
I think the man is actually a very talented gamemaker, but also a bit of a salty contrarian who didn't like to be some sort of champion for the GG crowd, which was an image he himself cultivated. "Conservatives like me? Disgusting! I will put a nigger and faggots in my game to show my supporters!"
Him sperging out put the controversy into overdrive.

On the issue of Henry being potentially bisexual, I don't like it, but I can accept it because I am rather lenient with player-choice. It is a game after all, and if you give the player more options that are not forced, I am mostly fine with it.
Hans being bisexual and a romance option, I don't like. At all.
Him being a horny womanizer was central to his character in the first game, and he never had a single indication of being into manass. In fact, I think it damages the strong story of his and Henry's friendship and makes it way more awkward.

If they wanted a gay romance option, make it literally anyone else except Hans.

Musa is primarily bullshit because he is sub-saharan african. If you took 100% of his dialogue and made him an Arab-scholar, it would be much improved. As the sperg Vavra himself pointed out, there is not a single named, black historical person in Europe at the time period, and if they were, they would be in Venice, southern Spain or a maritime trade city. His bluster over how culturally and scientifically superior his home was would also have atleast some standing. Even in the in-game comments on his character it states that the real Mansa Musa and Mali were primarily notable for being stinking rich through goldmines and slave-trade.
Make him into an Arab scholar that came over Venice or Constantinople like the one in their example and 90% of your problems go away.

In summary, I don't like the inclusion of either, Vavra doing a 180 on the Nigger-question and the story damage the Hans bumfuckery does.
It is not a dealbreaker for me yet, because the rest of the game either holds the quality of 1 or improves on it.

I think the real lesson is that you just can't trust game devs for some reason.
