The Hans part specifically was what kind of killed any enthusiasm for me. But it sounds like the faggotry is everywhere in the game if it has fag prostitutes too, like it's doing the AC Odyssey trick of just bending historical culture to promote Vavra's perversion.
Henry is a player character and was always a very bland one, likable but a blank slate of a human being. But with Hans, there's no reason for him to be rewritten. There's nothing about him to suggest he'd be gay, quite the opposite, and the whole thing is just the blatant retcon that you all have called it out for.
I bet you they wrote Theresa out just to try to push the gay shit more.
It sounds like this is even weirder than TLOU2, because with TLOU2 they took a masterpiece and then shit all over it (just because they could) for political reasons, but here it sounds like Vavra also has weird personal issues leaking into his work. But it just plain doesn't appeal now, which is a crying shame because the first one is great but was also clearly so limited (no genuine real big battles, cliffhanger, all of that) and nobody does historical games. Besides AssCreed, which already crashed and burned several games ago, much less was getting worn out beyond belief.
Yeah this is kind of suspiciously consistent theme through everything I've seen of the game so far. The girlbossing is especially annoying. Henry gets sent to save a girl who has been abducted but a high level in intimidate doesn't scare the shit shoveler threatening to kill her. Henry has to grovel and cut a deal with him. She of course spins around and instant kills the guy who has been holding her captive for days (but didn't rape her for some reason) because we can't have Henry just straight up save a woman.
He has to lick dead bodies. Everyone calls him retarded. People jerk him around. I know the first game was infamous for being a 'start as a shit peasant and rise to greatness' type of thing but that was the first game where Henry WAS a peasant. He has like a hundred bodies on him, official status as a bastard noble, and is more intelligent canonically.
I understand the reset for gameplay purposes, but it is feeling more like the devs taking a piss on the character than anything else.
Exactly out of the same woke playbook as shitting on Luke Skywalker or Joel.
