get your worries, but I doubt that it's gonna be case. Earlier in the week, Gazans were already starting to walk away from the strip in droves after Trump's announcement. I think what should happen is that the moving needs to be TEMPORARY, so that the area can be developed. Then those people need to be returned back to Gaza when the area becomes developed enough for inhabitants to live comfortably. How this is achieved, I wouldn't really know. It's a tricky situation with no clear answer to it. I'd rather just wait than say anything definitive. All we know is that Trump is saying one thing, and Israel is saying another in their usual retarded rhetoric.
well, what would you need to make it more comfortable? house with plumbing, running water and AC? their own car? television? internet (porn?). who would pay for it know there's a good chance it will get flattened again anyway?
but I agree that is probably part of trump's calculation (and not really mentioned yet, but I skipped a few pages. this thread is moving 2 fast 2 furious)
similar to what was tried with china to bring them "into the fold". give them jobs, so they have money for shit to buy, which means they have more stuff to own and live more comfortably, and suddenly they have much more to lose. as much as people said that it failed with china, I think were simply not there yet since it's a process that will take a few decades if not centuries. however, if you consider they were still eating each other only 60 years ago, who knows what it will look like in 50 or 100 years? anyway, that's a whole other discussion, but the same points apply.
it's not a bad idea to give the palestinians a better life, with a better outlook to the future, and it will have an inevitable effect. if you sit in a bombed out ruin without running water and nothing else to do, no perspective at all, it's much easier to go paragliding for some 72 virgins instead of telling some zealous retard to fuck off.
but it's simply easier to sell weapons to both side which will inevitably need to be replaced than spent the money on some other investment. bonus perk: it would be their own land too, not some host country they try to take over - they already own it.
if that is feasible given the amount of money (and time) it would need, and all the other factors involved? who knows. but it's certainly an idea.
