It's been decided that states cannot enforce their borders, it's a federal job. So Florida can arrest criminals for doing criminal shit, but they can't do immigration work on their own (usual work around is to arrest them for something else and hand them over to ICE).
Part of the problem that the right chuds need to face is that if you want to support single-income families you need to deal with the fact that large swaths of the population are dumb as fuck and cannot effectively manage their finances.
