I think people that have this mentality at this point are impossible to reason with. I don’t think they are capable of rationalizing or critically thinking anymore, sadly.
Memes aside: they have been fed an entirely different canon of information. Entirely different statistics, entirely different narratives, entirely different "facts". They are often exercising critical thinking and rationality just as much as you or I, but they're doing so based on an entirely different set of axioms and presumptions. Which is a hundred times worse, because it's like trying to talk to someone who has been told from childhood by loved ones and figures of authority that the Earth is flat or Mohammed is the prophet. There's no point of deviation from a shared understanding that you can work backwards to, it's two entirely separate worldviews, and asking them to humor your point of view is like asking them to suspend their belief in the most basic assumptions about the world, which is the domain of faith. You can't reach common ground because there is no common ground, it has been bulldozed away by talking heads and journalists and propagandists and echo-chamber-promoting content curation algorithms from both sides.
I like to joke that I'm a radical centrist, because I care leagues more about the auth-lib axis than the left-right axis but also because I simply have zero faith in any modern politician to fulfill even the most basic task of telling the truth, let alone keeping any promises or generally doing anything substantive at all in the interest of their (non-millionaire) constituents -- a position that has left me pleasantly surprised the last few weeks but has historically been an
extremely effective heuristic -- and I can tell you from decades of experience that it is just as exhausting and futile to try to talk to the partisan right as it is to try to talk to the partisan left solely because both are laboring under the assumption that politicians and journalists are even capable of telling the truth -- again the last few weeks being the exception that proves the rule. The fact that we have to come to an autistic ODD lolbert's retard zoo website in order to discuss politics and get a clear picture of what's going on in the world is evidence to my point, and I can 100% guarantee you there are still literal zogbots and russian shills and a full RGB spectrum of different glowniggers trying to steer the discourse even here.
Point being: it's very easy to end up just like them. It's very easy to end up with a worldview based on lies when you're being aggressively lied to, and you are. Question everything, no matter where you read it, unless it agrees with your own reason and common sense. Have a little compassion for the retards who have been lead astray -- some of them want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it's funny, but others are looking at the things we say about them in places like this and thinking the same of you. It's all one big glowop to divide the working class against itself so we can't unite against the white male jewish millionaires pulling the strings.
