My first thought was “they’d deserve congratulations if they DID make her do a flip.”She also wants to give them the kind of life-long psychological trauma that comes from thinking they could be responsible for their Borderline mother killing
It's easier to do nice things for animals than it is for people, most of the time. Obviously there are cases of animals that have high accommodation needs but most animals are way easier to accommodate and more pleasant to be around than a whole ass person.Kelly is one of the few people in this forum that I truly and genuinely think is a narcissist and her complete lack of empathy for animals is 0% surprising (although I am kind of surprised she was dumb enough to verbalize that on Tumblr). What I don't quite get is her extraordinarily hollow "but why can't we do nice things for PEOPLE" stance, which strikes me as even more performative than the rest of the SJ-type shit she says. The whole "if we were just nice to each other and leaned on our kind hearts" is insanely childish even for her.
OP was 100% right in that post and it is hands down the hardest part of rescue work. SWIM operates a nonprofit cat rescue and it's no-kill but having to say "no, we can't take your neighborhood stray even though she's skinny and it's -6F outside because we have 18 other cats right now, but we can bring you a warming box and food if that helps" and "we can take the one pregnant female and the two little boy kittens but not the six other intact adults from this abandoned house" feels like it negates the no-kill part all the fucking time. According to that person. Anyway, donate to your local rescues/shelters if that's a thing you're in a position to do. Shit sucks bros.
A cat with a minor injury or mild illness: can be annoying because you can't explain to them why they need to take this gross medicine, why they aren't allowed to jump on stuff or go outside right now, why their eye itches but they aren't allowed to scratch it, etc. ... but they mostly forget about it and just want to snuggle. It's easier to do nice things for animals than it is for people, most of the time. Don't forget the fifth group, who get tired of animals, but the pets wouldn't get the hint to leave with a wide open Amberlynn door and $500 each in cash.IME, there's four groups of people.
1) Misanthropist curmudgeons who don't like people as a group, but are kind to animals. These people might be rude and blunt to other people, but IME, are not outright cruel to them. Their inner goodness comes out around animals. 5
2) Gentle people who are always kind to both animals and other people. These are genuinely good folks but they can sometimes be kind of hard to be around, in an exhausting niceness kind of way.
3) Assholes who are obvious assholes to both people and animals. Easy to spot and easily avoided, unless they're VERY smart and charming. But eventually they show their true colours.
4) Loud-ass virtue signallers who talk a big game about being super empaths, but who in reality often neglect or take not-great care of their pets, let alone the people in their lives. Can't do a simple kind gesture, or receive one from someone else (like a stranger opening a door for them) without writing a fucking college thesis about it. Will chase ideological purity straight into doing literally nothing for no one and want rewards for it. Then they'll have the audacity to try and police how other people use their volunteer hours. They are everything that is wrong with the modern leftist movement. The bane of my fucking existence.
There's a reason "lovable curmudgeons" are so lovable, and straight up miserable people are not. Kindness to animals is a virtue, full stop, end of.
"Whole Ass Person" is a great descriptor for Kelly.whole ass person
Like most deathfats, Kelly has a disappointing, if not surprising, lack of ass."Whole Ass Person" is a great descriptor for Kelly.
Kid playing ding dong ditch = getting screamed at and harassedSome kids play knock and run at Kelly's house and call her fat (lol). Instead of laughing it off like a normal human it turns into a rant about getting gender affirming care, somehow.

I don't think that anyone who knows her, actually likes her, including her own husband. The combination of self righteousness, narcissism, and victim complex is hard to tolerate. She'd be constantly switching between tmi and lecturing people on their privilege. It's Sunday afternoon, a neighbour politely greets her and attempts to make small talk, and next thing the neighbour knows they're getting an in depth lecture on Gaza and white, thin privilege. Unbearable.I like how the neighbours don't like her either![]()
