I am a biased here, but I think it would be a net positive. Most Boers/Afrikaners are much more conservative, and have been isolated from the culture wars of the US and Europe (mostly). The “poor little minorities” line is tired when we saw them sack a city and strip it to the foundations in real time, recent memory. My bias is that I am one, and that I am allegedly doing skilled labor that a white could do in my place. I am aware this is the same logic used by the left, as it was said earlier, race is real, but also so are social levels. Many whites of SA now were educated on par with most US second level colleges, said institutions in SA suck now, the US could benefit from more mentors in industry that we neglect but SA does in force, like chemicals, metals and energy. If the deepseek thing isn’t real and we need big datacenters, we’ll need more power generation, and more education around that. I don’t want to be some lying jeet and say there won’t be some displacement, but if this is done strategically, we can fill out industries that need intelligent men or women, I am not sure how to do this without opening the loophole for those like the cape coloreds, or half-races, though it seems the US government cares less about sensitivities. It will be important they get this watertight so it won’t end up like h1b
