I got suckered into the furry community when I was young on the Internet. Something I learnt as I interacted with these people firsthand is that they all have incredibly aggressive victim mentalities. Because they only get social interaction through the Internet, they have learned to build their identities based around what gets them the most attention, up to and including mental illnesses and disabilities, usually depression and autism respectively. What you call depression victim olympics is just how they talk to each other normally.
You can try to be there for them and help them, but eventually you come to understand that they will actively sabotage any attempts to improve their lives or feel better because it would require self-introspection and the realization that they've built an identity off of being a shitty, miserable person. This is also why anyone who stays in the furry community long enough inevitably becomes a faggot.

Never heard it but they absolutely love talking about how oppressed they feel. I saw at least a couple in the group I was in talk about coming out to their parents as a furry without a shred of irony. You have the usual fag oppression talk in there as well.
The thing is, almost all furries in real life are white kids who live in upper middle class homes with loving and supporting parents. These people get an irrational hatred of their parents downloaded into their brains even if they aren't actually being abused, because that's what's in vogue. Meanwhile, mom and dad are wondering why their son (it's always a man) spends 8 hours a day on the computer and yells at them about gaslighting when they ask him to do the dishes.
I know this isn't a unique opinion for this subforum but I wish people like Tyler Jewart killed themselves faster. I'm certain this dude is in a Discord, trying to do to kids what they tried to do to me years ago.

As someone with 15 years of experience of having been with, associated with and dealt with furries, I can vouch what you've said.
Furries are some of the lowest of the low on the tier chain in society. When you approach one, they give you a false sense of security, as they pretend to be normal. Then, when you delve into their broken and shattered world some more, you find out that they're just a self-victimizing piece of shit of a being.
Furries are the worst roommates, because they are not financially responsible with anything. They are the worst friends, because they turn into this black hole that sucks dry all of the energy of your circle and try hogging who they can recruit to turn against you. Furries are the worst relationship partners, because they can't go an hour without finding something to sexually fetishize and they want sex nearly all of the time. Furries are just the worst companions to have around because they bathe in their angst, they don't give a flying fuck at all to improve a quarter of their miserable lives. It's like that is their new fetish, just wallowing in their own constructed misery and blowing any and all opportunities that's been infront of them, to turn it all around.
So to anyone out there - do not be a furry.
