Do these retards really expect to get paid for spamming goonslop shit?

Yes, unfortunately. People who make the same basic "realistic human in a realistic setting" are expecting the same thing. It's kind of hard to really deter who deserves getting "paid" the most. Is it the people who work hard with making great, effective checkpoint models? Loras? People who contribute to the research of a base model (SDXL, NoobAI, Illustrious, Flux) and provide more efficient versions of them? Ones who actually do more with AI than spam out their gallery or making bare bone loras?
Does payment happen depending on effort or just plainly having the ability to get monetized? This can go wrong on a lot of levels, really. People can bot their way with the program. It'll be the whole pre-BuzzForImage situation again.
In short, a certain advantage (
no buzz needed to generate an image / creators being able to monetize their work) was used for the wrong reasons (
bots, high number of spam to farm said buzz /
a chance of low effort posters and spammers being able to monetize if there's no strict guidelines on the ways to be eligible) which only caused them to end that aforementioned advantage to prevent it from happening again that only ended up making things worse (
people are now most likely spamming more than ever now as buzz prices for image generation raises and people who can't afford purchasing buzz ends up resorting to spam and possible botting due to how little they actually earn as a free user / spam is worsened, people are inputting less effort to what they make or copy other people's methods for a quick buck).
Though, this is all speculation. But knowing the many mistakes CivitAI has been up to, well, I won't be surprised if they already revoke it days or weeks after its release. If they are planning to do this, they better have
lots of regulations in prep. I most likely suspect they'll cater to the creators who support them the most or the creators with the big following, as with many in their creator announcement thread.
