It has to eat him up that there is over 20 years of documented hate towards him from people in the FGC. They have shit on him since AOL newsgroups and it will never stop.

The FGC has NEVER ever liked him at any point in his life.

If you're watching someone on youtube, you want to see someone who's funny, or informative, or interesting in some way. When Phil gets tilted at SF6 i think its peak comedy. I love watching him blow a fuse every time. It will never not be funny to me, much like his egregious begging. Other than that I agree "normal" people don't want to watch that.

Yeah, he was a massive piece of shit so nobody liked him. He seems to occasionally remember that fact, but some days he completely omits it. Realistically at this point most people in the FGC probably don't know or think about him sort of like everybody else. He is a nobody and if you know of him it's because he's a lolcow who masturbated in front of thousands of children.

I know it's because he is a completely delusional narcissist, but it still hits me some days that he doesn't really get why people in general don't like him. Even leaving out the begging, lying, and complete absence of quality to his content he is just a massive piece of shit who treats everyone like shit while being dumb as fuck. You're right, he has entertainment value for sure but it isn't for any reasons you would want people to be watching your videos for. You have a bunch of people who hate watch him or watch him to laugh and mock him, but there are going to be very, very few people who can watch any of his content and come away thinking gee I really like that guy.

For peepol not listening - he is actually arguing for the FGC to go back to the arcade days where the pros would withhold the frame data and all the tech from the newbs so that they don't get good and become competition for the pros. Something that I'm sure he seethed about back in the day because everyone fucking hated him so they didn't want to teach him tech. He is seething about pros today making tutorials, combo videos and freely giving away tech to everyone and how it's somehow "monetizing" fighting games and turning it into a "biznis." Because when I think biznis and monetization I think giving information away for free just so as many people as possible can use that information to learn.
