Anna o' Brien / Glitter + Lazers / GlitterandLazers - Fat, drunk, consoomer attention whore who would rather eat and drink herself to death than endure a single negative emotion

Well, you kinda let the cat out of the bag, you're the latest podcast chick.

How sure are you Anna had this surgery weeks ago? Did she specifically mention getting her arms/legs done already? It's still debated what the timeline is.
Yes. She told me she had surgery in Jan and has one more to go and talked about the brachioplasty.

I went on the podcast because I do not know of others that are better or more appropriate. I am not familiar with others who do this thing because I am not really on YouTube or other platforms . You’re right that her podcast is not her best one to be on because of her reputation. But you have to understand too that this is a very unusual story and I’m a nobody. Typically people want more well known persons on their podcasts etc.

I am not worried about the doxxing itself, just that my story is complicated and I don’t want it to be misrepresented. The story was accurate enough, but the convo did not happen in the order it appeared. I recorded for four hours total.

I was also unaware I was being talked about here and I’m ok with that. I tend to be active then step away because of work, life stuff, and so on.

Maybe it was misplaced but I was also failed by the entire medical system for seven years straight. Until you’ve been in my shoes it’s easier to say that because you’re not living this disaster. Now I know for the future.

I didn’t expect Anna to care, that’s an assumption. I went on solely to tell my story. Nothing more, nothing less.

The entire podcast is done on riversidefm via video.

What date in January did you record your podcast? Anna had told you she already had the brachioplasty/armlift when you spoke to her. We know she is currently in recovery (as of 13th Feb) and still unable to do anything. So I’m curious… how long she has been recovering for?

If she really had the surgery in January that would partly explain why she’s been an unwashed greaseball for weeks. Didn’t want to shower over healing surgery incisions.

That said, there are body wipes to keep you clean if you can’t use the tub. Instead of another gluttonous Temu haul, she should spring a few bucks for wipes.

Thank you for the information, but I need specific answers, please. For the timeline.

1) What was the date of your podcast recording?

2) Where was Anna during this recording? Home? LA? Other place?

3) How many days prior to your episode did she claim to have her “surgery”?

4) To the best of your knowledge, was the surgery she mentioned the same event that included the brachioplasty?

Thank you.

I’m listening to it now, but my god, Anna’s so dumb. Her thoughts on AI are retarded and she doesn’t understand anything about the medical system. And that doctor is no better, I’d never go to her for my orthopedic problems. She should not be discussing breast cancer, as it’s possible that it can be discovered too early and is confused with a type of breast disease that isn’t really cancer. (Or a disease). She was pulling shit out of thin air.

Rachel, if you are smart enough to discover your own rare syndrome, seems like you could have done a couple of pitches of your story to actually smart people that could be heard by millions-trust me, you don’t have to be anybody: everybody is looking for content. But I suppose it’s not too late, they don’t own your story.

So what are the stats on that podcast now? Does anybody listen? It wasn’t going too well at first.

Since everyone so far has been nice, I will absolutely tell you guys what I know and answer to the best of my ability

1. Last Wednesday was part 1 of recording, this Monday was part 2. First recording was 2.5 hours and part 2 was 2 hours. And everyone was late the first time but me, by about 15-29 mins

2. I dont know because she had no background visible. It was either home or LA. I know the producer lives in LA

3. She 100 percent told me it was in January and specifically said it was the brachioplasty only, she didn’t mention anything else additional she had done at the same time

4. She only ever mentioned the brachioplasty

@Barbarella, I truly had no idea where to go or what would be a good platform for this. Honest to god. And yes that I suppose is my mistake. If anyone knows of a good suggestion, please let me know.

Dr Erin never stopped Anna from trying to diagnose me with hEDS. EDS society says you cannot be diagnosed with hEDS if you have skeletal dysplasia or other conditions. Erin nodded at everything Anna said especially when Anna was explaining genetics to me

ETA: what was funny to me is she assumed I also have flat feet because she says it’s symptom of EDS. She literally said “oh I bet you have flat feet”. I do not have flat feet, it’s the opposite.

@TheCakeIsALie - You could consider getting in touch with YouTube channels like The Patient Story, I know that they're primarily cancer-based, but they might be able to get you in touch with more appropriate platforms, especially to get your story out.

I'm sorry that your story wasn't given its proper due by the likes of Anna; while we may all be used to Anna's blatant lack of respect for anyone that isn't several family-sized dishes for Thanksgiving, it's still inconsiderate when you're talking about an extremely challenging part of you and your loved ones' lives. My sympathies.

Also, if Anna has gone unwashed for this long, all of those high-falutin' pajamas she purchased must smell fascinating - it's not as if she sought out 100% cotton for maximum breathability.

So you mean that the first half was recorded February 5th 2025 and the second half was February 10, 2025?

“I don’t know” is always an acceptable answer if you truly don’t know. But yes we already know about Mollie.

New question:

Why was the podcast recorded in two sessions? Was that by your request? If so, that’s fine and I don’t need details on why. If it was their idea, whose was it, and why? Did Anna need a break? Did Mollie’s SD card fill up? Did you have a full interview but then there was a second session for follow up questions?

I now wonder if Anna’s surgeries were spread over a couple of days. It sounded like a lot to do calves, ankles, arms AND brachioplasty at the same time, and that was before I saw her scars. If the surgery/ies actually happened in January and it took almost two weeks or more to post the footage, I wonder if it was edited to make it seem like it all happened on the same day.

Generally, people only get punished for bad infosec if they come in here and stir shit and act like a retard. You're providing relevant/requested information about a cow in good faith, so although I wouldn't choose to reveal my personal info here, I think I speak for the group when I say your contribution is appreciated.

I recorded all I thought I would need the first time. Those are the correct dates. It was me, Erin, Anna and Mollie. Then Mollie asked if I could do more recording this past Wednesday. What happened was the ep was supposed to be in two parts due to how long and complicated it is. I was told they wanted to capture my journey while waiting for genetic testing results, then do a follow up episode. Surprisingly, Anna did not eat or drink at all on camera, Erin drank some water, which makes sense because it’s a lot of talking etc. after the first part of recording, Mollie said she had additional questions a few days later, which she also rescheduled and then I got my results Monday afternoon and then she asked me to hop on that day instead.

There is a doctor who I think is a consultant that I spoke to the first time, and they did do medical fact checking. So I’m actually surprised about that. He was actually really nice and didn’t try to talk out of his scope unlike Erin. Anna did get disconnected during the first recording and took 5 or more minutes to reconnect and while waiting for Anna to come back, Erin talked about TikTok and women who approach her talking about dysautonomia. I am not sure why as she is not a neurologist or cardiologist and think that’s inappropriate. Erin also brought up using apple watches as proof of heart problems and I was not sure why because my heart problems were discovered in 2009 and in 2015. I had the old type of holter monitors with the leads on them, and for 30 days at a time. I guess Erin wants to seem cool and with it? I also get the vibe she is very much about telling munchies etc what they want to hear and feeding into stuff. In my case, all of my issues are very well documented medically with medical journals also specifically talking about cardiac issues associated with my condition. This isn’t me starving myself and faking my way through heart issues through dehydration. My disorder would be really dumb to try to fake due to the unique skeletal findings. For example, my thumbnails are rectangular shaped and I have metaphysial widening and shortening of the thumbs. On x ray, my finger bones are cone shaped which is a hallmark of the disorder.

As for the episode itself, the convos at the end were part of the first recording. The beginning was also recorded the first time, the middle parts leading to the last 12 minutes or so was from the second recording.

Thank you, @TheCakeIsALie that is all very informative.

To expand on @brooky’s question, generally, how was her demeanor? I don’t know how closely you follow her, but on a scale of day-drinking-on-the-couch depression to I-Just-Started-A-New-Craft mania, about where was she?

I’m curious if the surgery affected her mood, or if you noticed any slurring or other things that might indicate she’s on some form of painkiller or benzos. I would assume it would be edited out of the final product.

Kevin Pho is a doctor who started a blog back in the 2000s and had millions of readers, both doctors and patients alike. He is highly respected. I don’t know if his numbers are still in the millions but he’s has a top ten medical podcast. He’s a nice smart guy and would probably do an interview and/or tell your story. (Caveat-I was in this world years ago but got tired of it so am not up to speed on what anybody does. )

I found a tool that told me Anna’s podcast has only 800 subscribers, but they want to charge to give more detailed info.

That’s interesting because the producer told me I’m already helping people and that my episode has a good response with no proof to back it up. Thanks for the suggestion, I sent a message.

I don’t think Anna’s platform is strong enough to keep it going. Anna has no business doing a medical podcast and Erin is a dr but she’s an orthopedic hand specialist. Yes, you do have rotations in various departments as part of your med training but then again, she admits in my episode: “I’ve never heard of a 300 heart rate before”. Well, maybe because you’re not a cardiologist. AVNRT (my electrical issue) is known to cause heart rates between 140 and 280. So for me to be at 300 during the EP study is not that far off.

Anna was wearing a black shirt with long sleeves so I couldn’t see her arms directly. But she looks huge overall, and I guess because of the surgery her arms seem a little smaller than before.

Oh and to answer the question of behavior, she was generally very giggly and happy. Like really….happy. Erin and I were more reserved but she def felt a lot more manic-ish in comparison. I mean, I was talking about my experience with a procedure and she was laughing about it. That’s not a normal reaction. She really does act like a child. And she showed up on camera with sores all over her face, they looked fresh. I think she’s a picker tbh.

Overgrown toddler/petulant child describes her best. And she really does believe the bs about her rare obesity genes but cannot tell you which genes she actually means

This is what she showed up to the recording looking like. This is a direct screen capture. You can see the black shirt I was taking about. Those pupils look small to me, man. At work we are trained to recognize different pupil sizes because kids ingest drugs etc and have a pupilometer.

Maybe one of you farmers can recognize the background. I do believe this is her home.

Look at the difference in size between the two and tell me that is not pinpoint pupils or constricted at all.

Oh and as to how often she laughed: she was pretty giggly/happy all throughout. She talked a lot, was pretty bouncy and energetic. Way more energetic compared to the overall tone of the podcast.

“What does it meannnnnnn” she says while giggling and jumping up and down in her seat as I’m telling my story.

Her pupils do look constricted. I don’t know if it could be studio lights though? And ugh, that skin, how can she not want to heal if? Maybe now if she can’t move her arms it’ll get a chance. It looks better in the 2nd.

Like Chantal, those glasses don’t fit-no wonder she wears big ugly ones out.

She just moved so I’m not sure we’d recognize a background yet.
