Reminds me of the time when Phil tried to rile up detractors against Secret Limited because Secret "stole" clips from their videos. But they were all kind of honored to be part of it especially as Secret mentioned every channel in the video
It's just like Phil not understanding why fighting game experts would freely share tech with their audience.

The concept of open source and teaching people for the fun of it is completely baffling to him. Even on gatcha forums, he expected clout and dick sucking for posting guides on how to whale effectively.

All this cope is show exactly how much Phil just doesn't care about the drama. At times like this I'm glad Phil isn't some sort of omnipotent God figure; with how often he tries to rewrite reality, the universe would be a fucking mess.

How is it humanly possible to make his shitty haircut look worse, you ask? Well...

Wrong. He said that they aren't submissible. His word. I'm guessing it's a combo word of submissive and breedable.
I fucked up the formatting, fixed. He's trying to find the adjective for "submit" which is "submittable". Which doesn't make sense to begin with because "submit" is the wrong word to describe what he's saying, something that isn't submittible means it isn't physically possible to give/send while something that is inadmissible would be rejected upon submission .

If Phil had God powers, he would just kill everyone, but then wonder why he had no friends.

Something Phil wouldn't want to admit, is in the old days he likes to glamorize in the FGC; when Japan would come over, outside of MvC2, they'd dominate the USA in everything. One of the reasons this happened, was because Japan was unified, they had a legitimate Kanto vs Kansai rivalry like the USA does with their East vs West; but they still shared tech, where as Phil admitted in his day, players hoarded their knowledge. So while he may bitch that the meta is figured out sooner, it makes the playerbase as a whole stronger; and he can't have a strong playerbase who can learn and adapt in weeks when it used to take months. Because when he takes time off and decides to come back, he doesn't want a stronger playerbase that will make him look like shit.

Did Phil actually believe that a guy whose main form of content is exposing grifters would just interview him to reminisce about the ‘good old days’?!

He’s even more of a retard than I gave him credit for.
If there's something we can assume of Phil, he seems desperate for attention and validation. Glaze him the right way and "Oh, it's just the boys, you know we rib each other." No Phil, you're the fucking clown.

Pretty soon, I feel like more and more internet personalities are going to catch on that Phil is a quick buck of the highest order. All they have to do is fellate him a bit to get him to do an interview, bring up literally any of the multitude of things detractors talk about, get a quick engagement boost, and a little detractor dollars, and then never talk about him again. Triple Chin already is trying to play the long game, but honestly, I feel like it really hasn't materialized as much success as one would expect. Phil is much better off just being a disposable clown like Side Scrollers did.

Phil's retconning the Police Report AGAIN. I think he's mixing up King Tut with some other shit, but he won all of those so I have no idea what his point is.
And he neglected to mention that online task force for human trafficking, which is a key part is the semantics he's fucking up. Also the FBI has a division specifically for that kind of thing (business fraud) so what's weird about that?

It’s the most overused word on the internet but this is the best example of cope I’ve ever seen.

You can plainly see him verbally groping round, desperately trying to find a reason he’s right.
“It’s old stuff…. No, the stuff he showed is me joking and he didn’t get it…… no, he didn’t have evidence of stuff…. But the stuff he did have evidence for he stole from KF so doesn’t count!”

Also Phillip, what happened to not being mad at Stephen? You’ve just called him a fucking moron.

He introduced king tut and chargebacks to confuse people by bringing in something that people already know happened.

This is a very typical strategy of his. He adds in irrelevant things to try and obfuscate and deflect from the story at hand and to run in circles and tangents with his words to try and spin things.

I guess others have expressed most of the feelings I have about the interview, but I'll go ahead and give my final thoughts about it anyways:
First segment was a bore, but I understand why Steve decided to lead in that way, to try to get Phil to feel comfortable with him before he turned up the heat.
BSP was kind of annoying, in particular with his notion that cops are all honorable and shit. Steve gassed up his supposed credibility way too much. Being a former cop doesn't mean he has integrity or is an expert at anything. He did provide a bit of entertainment, so that segment wasn't all bad.
Not sure if this might be an unpopular opinion, but Steve may have gone in a little too hard with his tone and such at some points. It was amusing to see Phil sweat when he was being pressed, but hahnestly I think Craig from SS got more out of Phil by having a somewhat friendly tone for most of their initial interview. Steve seemed genuinely frustrated toward the end (who can blame him) and started to repeat some of the points he already went over.
Steve gets points for gathering info and coming in prepared for sure. Overall he made it a worthwhile watch.
Phil get zero credit for "hanging in there", as far as I'm concerened. Talking in circles, complaining about being cut off every time Steve had a couple of words to say, and staying late just to try to get the last word in isn't anything respecable.

It has to be a big streamer, and they have no reason to deal with Phil unless they're lolcow herders. I think this guy only had the chance because of Triple P, and even with that Phil was still talking down to him like he should be honored by Big Shot Phil helping the little guy.
