I think you're right about this. There's this one girl I follow on Twitter (though she claims to be aromantic but thats whatever) and she used to be very into "queer" shipping and would bring up nonsense terms like "heteronormativity". This was because a few people she used to interact with were either lesbians, or pooners. Ever since she joined a new fandom that doesn't really have a lot of "queers" in it, I have noticed she's been alot more comfortable posting the main straight couple in this manga she reads and other straight ships in general.

They admit they can't even tolerate straight ships because "the women aren't written well" and gravitate towards the men, and then they decide to give one of the men a pussy, because they can't stand gay sex either. Crazy shit.

I honestly feel like this is a bullshit excuse they give. Even in fandoms where the women are written well, they still try to find an excuse to "queer" ships. It is, but it is is also a dirty and well known secret that male characters and male relationships tend to be written better. Even in media that is written by women for women, their intended audience will still gravitate and ship the male characters. The influx of trans ideology that began in 2015 has done a number in these circles, where female autism is prevalent. Instead of quirky women staying quirky, they begin saying they are True and Honest men and begin to infect the fandoms around them. @AMHOLIO's theory in the trans made media thread appears less like a theory and more like a fact: that once someone goes trans, all the creativity is lost from them, and all they can talk about is being trans.

Knowing that people do that in their little nerd alcoves to escape abuse from crazy LGBT cunts, really makes me have more empathy for these types who are overly invested in collecting labels. It seems annoying and unnecessary to us, but it’s the only way to exist in their spaces without being ostracized or attacked.
