Draven Bennington, whose father was the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, has come out as transgender.

Although Draven was previously referred to as 'he,' the 22-year-old's Instagram bio has been changed to contain 'she/her' pronouns.
Chester welcomed Draven with his first wife Samantha Olit, whom he was married to from 1996 until their eventual divorce in 2005.

The rock star committed suicide by hanging in 2017 at the age of just 41 but remains warmly remembered by his family, including Draven.
This Friday, Draven unveiled a gender transition process that began last August and includes hormone replacement therapy.
'As today is a day to celebrate love and what love truly means, whether it's for a partner, family, or ourselves, I thought it would be a perfect time to show some love to myself,' she began the message.

'For a long time, I tried to be someone, someone I truly wasn’t on the inside. Ignoring it worked for a while, but continuously coming to the crossroads of being happy or being complacent was one I couldn’t keep crossing.'

Draven added: 'In August of last year, I decided to take the path of happiness and being true to myself. I came out as transgender and started hormone replacement therapy, and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.'

The showbiz legacy continued: 'I do have to say I am very blessed to be able to do this, as well as having very supportive family and friends.
Draven went on: 'I love each and every one of you who have shown me nothing but love and respect and see me for who I truly am.'
Turning to Samantha, she wrote: 'Especially Mom, you've always unconditionally loved me. I'm so blessed to be your child! I love you to the moon and back!'

The TV personality concluded her message: 'With all the support and love I've received, I've built the strength to love myself. This is why I'm choosing to no longer hide who I am. Love is love. Happy Valentine's Day.'
Underneath the message, the comments were flooded with well wishes from fans - but Samantha's reaction stood out from the rest.
'I’m so proud of you,' she wrote. 'I love you with all my heart and soul. You’re my favorite human on the planet. I just want you happy and healthy forever and always.'

Chester himself once spoke out on trans issues during a 2017 Twitter exchange involving the controversy over gender-neutral bathrooms.

When asked about a 'trans bathroom law,' Chester replied: 'I think all bathrooms should be unisex. A family restroom is also an option for people with kids.'
Although Draven was the only child that Chester and Samantha had together, the rocker was a father to five other children from various relationships.
With his second wife, former Playboy model Talinda Bentley, he welcomed a now 18-year-old son called Tyler as well as 13-year-old twin daughters Lily and Lila.

He fathered a 28-year-old son called Jamie with his ex Elka Brand, and also adopted Elka's now 27-year-old son Isaiah from another relationship.

The kid was doomed from the start. Especially considering how his dad was found dead of squanching within the same year as Chris Cornell was found dead from the same. Toss in that he has the same build as his dad and seems to already show signs of being a closet case.

Most men are simply never taught real haircare and too lazy to learn.

Haircare for men means go get a haircut, many if not most men with long hair are coping for being too lazy to go to a barber and/or too socially abnormal to be around people in a barbershop, so they're never going to be the kind of person to do research and go through trial and error to find the right products. The default haircare routine for the average long haired autist is 'more cheap 2-in-1 every time I shower', assuming they shower, and that's invariably gonna fry your hair pretty quick.

I really think trooning out messes with their hair.
The vast majority had healthier looking hair prior to the "transition". Even a retard like Chris-Chan had okay hair before getting the messy stringy troonmane.

That thing that never happens is happing again! Kids of famous people are screwed up Every. Single. Time!

That's not how it works. You can have bad experiences and still be genetically predisposed. Your bad experiences can also become part of a predisposition in your kids, both through a larger trend in your family's history and how you parent. Not every person who gets diddled as a kid becomes permanently broken like Chester was, the genetic component is part of what splits the difference between coping and lifelong trauma.
Yeah, that's how it can happen. Just because you have a genetic predisposition, if nothing trggers it, it will never come out. But child molestation is known to fuck a kid up for life, no matter what genetic predisposition a person has.

His death might have affected his son in such a way that lead him on this path, but we don't know since AGP isn't known to have a genetic component to it.

It is known to be traumatic, yes, but that's a far leap from lifelong suicidal tendencies, even after decades of fully adjusted behavior. People without an inate tendency for intense depressive episodes don't just spontaneously unlearn all their coping mechanisms and reasons for living to use their very next breaths to hang themselves. And so many people use the trappings of contemptorary trans identity to mask other issues, AGP isn't even worth mentioning without an actual evaluation in hand. 41%, blah blah blah.

But I'm not about to sit here and keep playing debate bro with someone who is clearly already invested in viewing all of Chester's issues as pure victimization. People have been using him as a soft and fluffy pop culture approved mental health icon since before he even died, nobody expects it to stop now.

You don't know that, people react to trauma differently. I mentioned AGP because his son trooned out, you know, the subject of the article?

I mean he was molested, he's going to have a lot of sympathy because it did lead to his drug addiction and whatever mental issues he went through. Yeah, it's fucked up of him to kill himself because he was a father and his suicide hurt his kids and wife, but it's understandable why he did it. He was a person and did good and bad things, like you. You think I'm just arguing on Chester being a victim when no, I'm giving an explanation of how human psychology works and Chester and his son are our examples presented.

Is it? He has a wife and kid he allegedly loves, a band that defined a generation and redefined many musicians' approach to music, millions of fans all over the world who adore him specifically for giving them an outlet for their negative emotions so they do NOT kill themselves... and then he kills himself?

That's not understandable, that's retarded.

I personally think he was choking himself while masturbating with the ol' "belt from doorhandle" method and accidentally kicked the bucket. IIRC the cleaning lady found him, and no further details are known, though I remember it was said he was hanging from the doorhandle.

Now THAT is understandable.

That was David Carradine who died because of his asphyxiation fetish.

If you're trying to be funny though, don't quit your day job.

Carradine isn't the only one who has ever died from erotic asphyxiation, genius.
And no, it's not me being funny, it is largely a cope, because the alternative that this retard actually did kill himself is so much worse.

I resent the fact that people like you make excuses for Chester's suicide, because this behavior should be looked down upon. If he actually killed himself and wasn't suicided or had an oopsie while jerking off, he has just undone 90% of the positive impact he has had on the world and plunged his family and friends into misery. Why should I listen to someone's music, which ostensibly is a refuge for the depressed to have somewhere to put their negative emotions so they can fight another day, if the front guy fucking kills himself? It's like RFK Jr. relapsing on Heroin or Robert Downey Jr. drinking himself to death... How can I take any of the messages of transformation and self-improvement they have espoused seriously now?

Not to mention he abandoned his friends, whose lives were heavily intertwined with his. They depended on him, but not as much as his wife and child. If Chester was still alive, maybe his son wouldn't have chosen to castrate himself and live in abject misery for the rest of his short life. His son will recognize the error of this only when it's too late, because his guiding figure, his fucking dad, can't be there for him to help him through it.

So, I will continue to believe he died from erotic asphyxiation, because I am not able to respect the man otherwise. If he actually killed himself because he "finally lost the battle with muh depression", then he's a selfish, weak coward and I have no respect for him. And you shouldn't either.

Hes just doing the bald guy with stringy long hair thing. Its like dood your hair is shit and youre going bald, embrace it.
Plenty of women wear wigs, even young ones. But those are expensive and even harder to maintain than your own hair. They'd be a waste of money for most troons.

Draven Bennington has the same disgusting stringy hair every single troon I've unfortunately met in public. How come most men that insist on growing their hair out refuse to properly take care of it.
Because women are fucking nasty. How many women do you know that don't shower every day 'because it's bad for my hair and my SKINNNN'. shut up you nasty cunt, go shower your stink off. i'm not sure where these women were told not to shower everyday but there is an entire generation of them out there right now and it's disgusting.

with that said, troons wanna be a woman so bad. only problem is, they're a nasty man who is required to shower every day. if you don't you'll have that nasty greasy hair. in womens defense, it takes a few more days for their hair to look like that.

anyways, if you don't shower at least once a day your parents failed you.

Guess his son couldnt break the habit tonight.
Chester already hanged himself so I guess he already knew the disappointment was coming

Correct. The only reason why we are reading about this is because of who his father is. A 22-year old can do whatever xir wants.

Indeed but what we want to do at the moment is mock xir and mock xir we shall.
