Sander is forcefully and tiresomely an ally because he's been raised to believe that Jazz (his little brother) needs affirmation to survive, like Disney's Tinker Bell. If people stop believing Jazz to be a girl/woman, what then? Then his little brother is a young man who was very badly damaged by those around him. And Sander may irrationally feel that he failed to protect his little brother from that, which would cause crushing guilt for not having stopped it and in fact strongly affirming it. (Obviously a young Sander couldn't have stopped anything, but children often feel responsibility for things like divorce or even death that they had nothing to do with.)

His parents could escape their own guilt somewhat by telling themselves that they did what professionals told them to do. Ari and Griffin don't seem to have the same psychological entanglement with the situation. Sander, though, as well as having built a lot of his young life around being a supportive, affirming ally, failed to protect his little brother. The truth breaking through could devastate him.

I've become much more sympathetic to the troons who were led down that path as children (versus the molesterer-fetishists who chose it as adults), but it doesn't change the damage Jaron is doing to other kids even if the root cause isn't his fault.

I didn't even think about TroonTrek: The Next Degeneration. But I could see him doing it without it even being intentional, just being so enthusiastic about his troon allyship from such a young age that they internalize it as the only way to get attention & approval (same way the Jennings family worked), and the second the kid dips his toe in the water as a result, Spandex loses his mind with excitement and dumps the kid in the one-way ratchet of "affirming care".

That realization got to me when I was close to peaking years ago: If you actually managed to red pill a tranny, esp. one who did it out of desperation, like jazz, who was made to think he has a condition which will make his life unbearable, if left untreated, they will just rope and the butchers and shrinks win again. But I actually found resolve in the fact that they, tragic victims or not, spread this shit ever further and must be stopped doing that either way.

I would argue Jaron never had any say in this stuff at all. There's not really any way of knowing what would've became of him if he had never transitioned, because his whole life was built around it ever since he was a toddler, he literally never knew anything else. Of course that's not to say he couldn't have reversed course when he got older, but if all you have around you are enablers, how can you be in a position to think about it rationally in the first place? And, I think this is one reason why you cannot really have children give "informed consent" to things like puberty blockers, because sure you *can* stop using it, but ultimately you're surrounded by yes men and a community that relies on dishonest tactics. It is entirely possible Jaron's "gender dysphoria" was a complete myth created by his doctor, you can't really even understand those concepts at such a young age. And, yes, I agree they do play a part in spreading it, but, I think there's a difference in culpability between someone who deliberately transitioned at an older age, v. someone given little choice in the process at all from such a young age, to the point where they know little else.
