US Catholic bishops sue Trump admin over suspension of refugee program funding - "For decades, the US government has chosen to admit refugees and outsourced its statutory responsibility to provide those refugees with resettlement assistance to non-profit organizations like USCCB," the lawsuit states.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after funding was halted for its refugee resettlement program. The lawsuit is based on the Refugee Act of 1980, under which the USCCB has worked with the government to resettle more than 930,000 refugees.

"For decades, the US government has chosen to admit refugees and outsourced its statutory responsibility to provide those refugees with resettlement assistance to non-profit organizations like USCCB," the lawsuit states. "But now, after refugees have arrived and been placed in USCCB’s care, the government is attempting to pull the rug out from under USCCB’s programs by halting funding."

Shortly after President Donald Trump took office, the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration issued a suspension letter for the program. According to the lawsuit, USCCB has not received reimbursement from the State Department up to Jan. 24, despite assurances in the letter that it would. The conference is also arguing that the administration’s decision to cut off congressionally approved funding is illegal, according to Fox News.

USCCB has stated that the freeze has forced it to issue layoff notices to 50 employees in Migration and Refugee Services, more than half of its staff.

“The Catholic Church always works to uphold the common good of all and promote the dignity of the human person, especially the most vulnerable among us,” said USCCB president Archbishop Timothy Broglio, according to the Associated Press. “That includes the unborn, the poor, the stranger, the elderly and infirm, and migrants.”

“The conference suddenly finds itself unable to sustain its work to care for the thousands of refugees who were welcomed into our country and assigned to the care of the USCCB by the government after being granted legal status,” Broglio added.

Vice President JD Vance, a Catholic convert, has previously criticized the bishops' conference for resettling “illegal immigrants” to receive millions in federal funding, a reference to the resettlement program. In an interview last month, Vance argued that the conference “has, frankly, not been a good partner in common sense immigration enforcement that the American people voted for."

We've been warned for 150 years about this shit. Dismiss this lawsuit under the 1st Amendment (the Catholic Church has no authority over the government) and deport these bishops right back to Vatican City since their loyalty is obviously not to the United States. Send their pet refugees their too. Surely Vatican City will accept all the refugees they demand everyone else accept...oh that's right, illegal immigration there is banned.

If I were a Catholic I’d really be questioning my faith in all of these snakes calling themselves bishops, priests, cardinals, and especially the pope
Why would they? They support it whole heartedly, it's not like they've followed anything but what the church has told them no matter how antithetical it is to Christianity for 2000 years.

@Preacher ✝ Come cleanse your church.
See here:
This is the relevant part. They're not arguing to keep the border open, they're arguing they haven't been paid for services rendered. Not that'll get the anti-papists to cool their tits...
The main issue is that a promise was made and not kept.

Caring for the poor and less fortunate is the kind of thing Jesus would do.

Nah the main issue is the Catholic church is the Antichrist's first bitch.
Caring for the poor and less fortunate is the kind of thing Jesus would do.
And yet Jesus never forced anyone to do anything they didn't want to do, unlike using tax dollars for charity.

I certainly don't recall a passage in the bible telling the jews, or anyone else, to admit every lowlife, pagan, and alien into their lands. Seems to be something that the Catholics cooked up in their devil worship.

Don't poke a sleeping dragon. I imagine that tax exemption for churches is about to hit the chopping block. With the current woke Pope, I don't even see that pissing too many Catholics off.

The Catholic Church devoting their energies oppressing the poor is nothing new, since they've done it for the 1,700 years their "church" (cucked out remnant of the Roman Empire, hence why the Pope is a "Pontifex" just like the Pontifex Maximus) has existed. Back in the day they used to demand you pay "tithes" or they'd send their mercenaries after you and they'd even extort governments this way using threats like excommunication or interdicts or banning their ruler from getting married (you couldn't marry your 6th cousin unless you bribed the Pope's legate to make it awwright...wait, legate, there's another funny Roman title again). The Catholic churches and monasteries were covered in gold and gems while people lived in shacks. The bishops and priests would sometimes have orgies in the churches, sometimes with nuns or choir boys, or sometimes with their subjects. Like Pope John XII, who converted churches into brothels and was murdered by a man whose wife he had fucked, or Pope Benedict IX who was into sodomy and bestiality, or Sixtus IV who made the choir boys he raped into cardinals.

Today, the church still oppresses the poor, but instead they do so by acting as the religious arm of globalism and flooding your nation with brown people. The Catholic elite genuinely aren't raping boys, girls, and animals in churches anymore (mostly, that we know of), but do seem to be selling them to the global elite. If you tithe money to the Catholic Church, you are funding your own replacement and the destruction of your nation (always a goal, the Catholic Church's doctrine opposes nations).
Caring for the poor and less fortunate is the kind of thing Jesus would do.
And that's why Catlickerism is a one-way ticket to Rapefugees Welcome. No thank rabb--I mean priest!

Catholics bad, reeeeee
We are all aware of the sins committed by members of the clergy throughout the ages. Becoming clergy doesn't magically make you immune to sinful acts, quite the opposite. Not only does Satan target them, but the power and influence that comes from their station is no less intoxicating than any other form of power and influence.
acting as the religious arm of globalism
Catholic means universal. Christ died for the sins of all mankind, not just the people you approve of. However that doesn't equate to globalism because globalism, as a political movement, is inherently atheistic. This is why the separation of Church and State is important, and when it comes to caring for the poor and less fortunate the State has been meddling in affairs that should be the domain of the Church. When the State enacts these programs with tax dollars they are essentially forcing the citizenry to be charitable. This is a gross perversion of charity, which should always be freely given and not coerced. That's why there is an immigration issue, because the State is providing tax funded charity. If the State were not doing this then there would be no reason to bring refugees in, the Church would instead just keep helping them in their own countries. It's essentially a matter of supply and demand.

also in the opinion that this pope has utterly ruined mainstream Catholicism
Francis hasn't done anything drastic enough to warrant such a heavy accusation. He has not changed any doctrines or invoked Papal Infallibility on any matters. A lot of the complaints leveled at him really boil down to the way he is portrayed by the dishonest news media, and the fact that LARPing shitposters online have a misguided desire for a Church that still does Inquisitions and Crusades.

Look, just because something has been allowed to happen for decades does NOT mean it's guaranteed to continue on indefinitely. The United States is nearly FIFTY TRILLION DOLLARS in debt, and most of that debt has happened over the past twenty-five years. At the beginning of 2000 we were merely in single-digit trillions of dollars in debt. This is unsustainable and something has got to give. The tap has been shut off, the tit has run dry, and the free money machine has been unplugged. You are not owed the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people. And if those third-worlders can't survive without the American people financially supporting their lives, then how valuable to the world are they really? They can't even fucking manage to support themselves.

Can't the Catholic Church pony up their own cash for once? Sick of subsidizing rapist Papists
Because the Church today is as heretical as it was at the time of the Reformation, for the same reason: money

The Church offers all kinds of nursing home and in-home health services, at astronomical costs, all over the Western world. These services are generally very high quality, but per the tenets of Christianity, they should be offered for free, or a minimal price at most, paid for by the generosity of the Church from its vast reserves of wealth. Instead they charge very lucrative rates and fees to both private patients and those paid for by governments. It's just one example of Rome worshipping Mammon and not Jesus

Sounds like for profit to me. You're spending my fucking money.

The Catholic Bishops want their GOD DAMN MONEY every week from these immigrants. That's how they fund their religious order... Tithings.

and maybe a few more choir boys as well.
They're mad that they can't afford to import little brown boys anymore.

It's interesting how the article mentions decades. You know what happened decades ago? The death of Pope Pius XII and the series of events that led to Vatican II (covered in Malachi Martin's Windswept House) and the rise of sedevacantism as a fringe position among some Catholics.

I've got no dog in the race since I'm not any type of Christian at the end of the day. Nevertheless, it's shit like this that really does make me think that there was some Satanic plot in the late 50s and early 60s to infiltrate the Catholic Church and destroy it from within.

Because your church is not set up as a church, it's set up as a political institution which all but encourages such abuses. If you have these creepy virgins in robes you're required to tell all your secrets to and who pose as Jesus, no shit the creepy virgins in robes are gonna rape. And if they're also obscenely rich because they are global parasites, of course they're going to play Epstein.

Your church spent 1,700 years extorting money from countries and if they had their way, they'd still be doing it. The government enlists the Whore of Babyl--sorry, the Catholic Church because they're lazy and always hire contractors with your tax money. It's inherently a violation of separation of church and state to enlist a religious organization (which is also literally its own country) in providing these "services" which shouldn't exist anyway. The Catholic Church has made rapefugee migration one of their core doctrines, because how better to help a rapefugee than set them up in the first world, give them free shit, and teach them how to steal welfare. They will advocate for them until they are once again smacked down as civilized countries have always done.

"Papal Infallibility" was a concept made up 150 years ago by Pope Pius IX who was a butthurt faggot that people didn't want his church to run their life. So he made his church elevate him to the same rank as God, just like any good cult leader would. He was also very anti-American and made ideas contrary to the Constitution as official church doctrine.

I think the Vatican II stuff was just the Catholic Church doing what it does best--finding a way to keep up with the times and maintain its grip on power. No different than when they had to ban selling indulgences because the practice was so transparently retarded that it got people looking a little too deep into all the other retarded things the church believed in. Vatican II is kind of like how some Jews created "Conservative" and "Reform" Jews because a bunch of guys running around in small hats aren't advancing the interests of the Jewish community. Traditionalist Catholics/Sedevacantists are like the Talmud-worshipping Orthodox Jews who take their religion very seriously but ultimately don't realize the insanity of it all.
