No matter what comes out of these talks, the meme of "Americans are forcing capitation" is spreading fast to the frontline and it's morale poison, you can't keep an information blackout in the age of phones.
The most likely outcome in my opinion is
  • American and Russian delegations agree on ceasefire terms
  • Ukrainian government refuses to accept them, lose power and be investigated for wartime corruption
  • American aid is cut off, Russia quietly given approval to occupy the country to "enforce the treaty"
  • new Pro-Russian UA government allows American corporations to exploit mineral resources in non annexed territories
The final step may be extended depending on the extent of EU's desire to go bankrupt by plugging the hole of American funds and bankrolling Ukraine for a bit longer.
Of course the Americans won't mind this, since Europeans will be buying their scrap to send over just like they're buying their LNG, the continent is fucking broke.

They have nothing to commit. In fact I forsee mandatory conscription being necessary for Germany, France and the UK if the US does reduce their presence in Europe whether they actually send troops to Ukraine or not. I would hate to be a draft-dodging Ukrainian hiding in those countries when the draft notices start going out to the citizens.

There is no will in the EU to conscript, and very little willing forces. At best you would get a Nafo-reddit brigade.

The US undermining the EU right wing has alienated most combat-eligible people from participating outside like all 50 baltic rabid yappers.

I don't even see how they could do a draft, there would be a civil uprising, can you imagine the amount of people who would be pissed. Take Germany for example, why in the fuck would they want to fight for anyone when all there country does is fuck them anyway.

You're right but that won't stop their leaders from proposing it. In a perfect world that would lead to the Ukrainian draft-dodgers being strung up by the locals first. Either way I sure would hate to be a stateless, draft-dodging (former) Ukrainian who ran away to flex on Twitter. Those who survive will have to invent whole new backstories and deny their homeland.
