i would be more concerned about the personal offense i'd be causing the new director of the FBI, who were just in the last administration visibly weaponized against the former president, the opponent of the sitting president at the time, and the opponent of his vice presidential running mate in the followup election.

they are, hopefully, scared. fear is an exceptional motivator when it comes to people changing their ways. i mean look at the turtle, he doesn't believe he'll ever win another election so he's retiring.

That's still way better than wealth redistribution in its grimiest form. Between inflation, thumb-on-scale insider trading, and foreign aid schemes designed to funnel money into the pockets of politicians, everyone who isn't absolutely destitute, or mainlining gibs, has been getting fleeced by the government for a long time.

No matter how it's done, maybe they can include an exemption so we don't give even more money to people already on welfare.

Most eu nations pay shit for their defense because they really entirely on us, they have become complacent in just letting the us be the world police. So the notion that the us may talk with Russia to secure and end to a pointless war horrifies them because it shows that they can no longer mooch of the us for their defense, that they actually have to do something instead of getting sucked and fucked by islamits from Palestine.
