Also, I don't know how his billing works but shooting off a "quick" question to people who bill you hourly is typically not a good idea if done regularly. I think this is just another example of Destiny being reckless and short sighted. Rushing to failure with this manifesto.

1 minute phone call? Two-sentence email with a two-sentence response? That's 15 minutes billable. Lawyers who work for an hourly rate bill in 15 minute increments. Each phone call, each email, they're all 15 minutes apiece. If they're honest. If they're not they'll hit you with the full hour

When you have a lawyer on retainer they work off the amount in the retainer. He said he's already paid out about 40k in legal fee's and said he's hired 2 separate firms, this is probably the total of having 2 firms on retainer for him. When the lawyers are on retainer they usually only bill for official lawyer duties, not a couple texts or calls.
