I think the problem with calling like that is that the whole political system now relies on social media metrics to gauge political temperature, but on the other hand I am willing to believe that many boomer congress men do still oooperate like they always did and just take your way of interaction way more serious, just because they don't know any different. It also IS the only actually fingerprinted polling method left.
Emails and social media interactions are almost worthless, if you can't tell what is bot interaction and what isn't - that's why you need to either have elon or zuck on the team to give you somewhat accurate internal stats.
Now you can't even answer back to a concerned citizen's email and be 100% sure the responders are even human - so email hasn't much confidence left.
At least I don't think they are operating A.I. phone systems to con congressmen, because it's not on the radar yet - when they start doing that, we will at least know that people followed your advice en masse

I think you're onto something which IS underappreciated by everyone younger than 50.

There is no shortage of work to be done on the ISS, they aren't floating in micro-gravity twisting their thumbs: NASA must be content that the only serious issue, the lack of one proper seat at the time of their arrival (and thus need to rig another seat in a Dragon capsule with belts for emergency use), has been resolved without issues. The (fun and very much warranted) bashing of Boeing and their useless overpriced can must have evidently altered the perception of the situation, because outside that time window there was nobody to rescue, because you must be in danger and with no way out for that to be the case. This is an identical repeat of the pedo-guy Thai cave rescue where he tells them to stop doing their work and go home because SpaceX will build a magical submarine contraption that everyone involved with the operation laughed at from how absurd it was, resulting in him going apeshit on Twitter and recruiting PIs to shit publicly on the guy. NASA considered all possibilities and worked on a contract with SpaceX to perform an unscheduled launch, but that never came to be because it turned out to be unnecessary, the people saying it was a political move are the exact ones trying to twist it into one now because they've been denied spotlight.

The largest group at this point has to be those that support Elon just "to own the libs". These are the kind that love to see Elon wearing sunglasses indoors and swinging a chainsaw, and can't wait to see liberals on YouTube wringing their hands over it. Pure idiocracy. And then there are a still a lot of people that are genuinely in awe of Elon simply because he's ultra-rich - and in America and other primitive lands, it is assumed that if you are rich that you must be smart or hardworking or somehow deserving of it, and therefore you deserve to be worshipped.
