Is their audience just Federal employees? That would explain so much.

He’s been cucking their globohomo PM. Needs replaced with another conservative so Poland doesn’t get more AIDS
It was quite surprising how fast Poland fell for the psyop by an abortion law. The claimed 'based poland' went to globalhomo overnight. Polish women seem to want to kill kids just as much as the rest of the west.

Younger Kiwis, it's hard to overstate how different this transparency is. For the longest time if someone like the Secretary of Defense spoke it would strictly be in platitudes. You would gain nothing from hearing them speak. Hearing Hegseth break down in clear terms the plan/goals going forward feels unreal. It feels obvious. Like the way it should have always been. Yet, also unreal.

Uhoh!

The Dem Judge in DC that granted the order telling Trump to restart USAID has now received a motion to asking for Sanctions and a Contempt charge on President Trump for not obeying the TRO (temporary restraining order) to basically turn back on the slush fund and re-hire everyone he fired.

Yes this low level DC judge just told the PotUS that he cannot turn off any USAID nor can he fire anyone unless he (the judge) approves the move. The Trump admin must go thru each and every single contract made by USAID and approve or disapprove them one at a time and any that they want to cancel THEY HAVE TO ASK THE JUDGE FOR PERMISSION to cancel.

Holy Overreach Batman!

The so named "18 state coalition" and some NGO's have sued Trump in DC (of course) and got the Judge to tell Trump to turn the slush funds back on now now NOW! by issuing a TRO stopping Trump from doing ANYTHING to USAID. Why a TRO? Because you cannot appeal a TRO that's why. A TRO is something a judge can issue in "an emergent or life threatening emergency" that is 100% non-appealable according to the DOJ . So the DoJ can't simply appeal this retarded ruling and get it overturn for the crap that it is they have to just sit and take it up the ass.

So obviously the Trump Admin and the DoJ laughed at this order and ignored it so now the plaintiff's have come back to that same judge and are asking/demanding him to SANCTION AND CHARGE THE POTUS WITH CONTEMPT for failing to obey this retarded order.

Imagine a low level DC judge being able to over rule the President of the US on something like this and ordering the POTUS to start handing out billions of dollars again.

I honestly don't know how the DOJ will fight this one as by their own rules a TRO cannot be appealed so how are they to break the order if they cannot bring it to a higher authority?

I am really looking forward to some DC judge trying to put Trump in jail for contempt, I'm sure the USSS will have zero problems with that. Hopefully this retarded judge has fired the shot that will make the SCOTUS finally take action against these low level district judges trying to legislate from the bench.

Anyway here some faggot ranting about it for specif details (warning he's pretty worked up about it so he's rather annoying)

Writ of Mandamus or whatever it's called? That's the appeal to a higher court that's basically "this judge's a fucking retard, your honors, and he's fucking this case up beyond repair."

I think that counts as an available appeal no matter what cute little jew tricks the Judge tries.

My job is important because I want money.
Does anyone in this thread explain why their job matters and how hard is it to become a 1% commenter? How much tax money did these leeches soak up while they shit posted on Reddit?

Family values? That's a thing? A thing we all care about? Isn't it?
Nigger it is not the taxpayer's job to feed your family.

That question almost makes me want to visit Reddit(almost) just to see if any answer in there will refute my now concrete belief that 90% of all federal jobs are just in person welfare.

I would vote for an enraging reaction sticker.
I'll admit this one got me MATI, too. I'm trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but I keep reading things and hearing things (not just on the Farms) where it's like "What did you think it was like for the rest of us this whole time?"

I mean if there is anything to highlight the criticisms that Stephen Miller levied at Press as well as all the other branches of government.

A reminder since this thread moves faster than the flash:

Stephen Miller just gave the press a civics less. The President is democratically elected. Unelected beaurocrats serve at the will of the President.

It is true that many of the people in this room for four years failed to cover the fact that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and was not running the country.

It is also true that many people in this room who have used this talking point that "Elon is not elected" fail to understand how the government works. So I'm glad for the opportunity for a brief civics lesson.

A President is elected by the whole American people. He's the only official in the entire government that is elected by the entire nation. Right? Judges are appointed. Members of Congress are elected at the district or state level. Just one man, and the Constitution, Article II, has a clause known as the Vesting Clause and it says "The Executive power shall be vested in a President", singular.

The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected President. That President then appoints staff to then impose that democratic will onto the government.

The threat to democracy, indeed the existential threat to democracy, is the unelected beaurocracy of the lifetime tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one. Who believe they can do whatever they want without consequence. Who believe they can set their own agenda no matter what Americans voted for.

So Americans vote for radical FBI reform and FBI agents say they don't want to change. Or Americans vote for radical reform on our energy policies, but EPA beaurocrats say they don't want to change. Or Americans vote to end DEI—racist DEI—policies and lawyers at the Department of Justice say they don't want to change.

What President Trump is doing is he is removing federal bureaucrats who are defying democracy by failing to implement his lawful orders, which are the will of the whole American people.

Maybe it’s worse these days, but in my life I only dated one girl who did opioids, and it was pretty easy to spot because she suddenly was like “cry cry I need a few hundred dollars cause my car”
I'm not necessarily talking about opioids or hard-core drug addicts. I'm talking about guys who always have pot, can get mushrooms and/or ecstacy on short notice, have a reliable connection for coke or meth, always bring a six-pack of beer or a bottle of Fireball along, and don't mind sharing if the girl is cute enough. These guys are always popular with the ladies even if they're ugly as shit and rarely shower, because they're often the life of the party.

I recently watched a clickbait video (which I won't link, because it's clickbait crap) in which a group of 12 attractive, single young men and young women rated each other and assigned each other an "attractiveness" value, first based on looks alone, then based on short group question-and-answer sessions. The young men seemed very distressed by the girls who said they didn't enjoy partying and rated them lower because of it.

Everybody wants their dates to be fun to hang around with, but fun dates don't necessarily make good spouses or good parents. The ones who say they don't like parties are generally the better parents, but they're kind of serious and boring to hang out with. I think the loser guys that always have dates are probably pretty fun to hang around with, and the girls around them are generally drunk or high, thus have lowered inhibitions.

We can't ever have nice things in this thread for longer than a few seconds. I get the trolls who come in here and try to rile people up, that's expected. It's the ones that always have to remind us to keep it down, don't be too happy, don't celebrate too much, that are so tiring.

This isn't reddit, this thread isn't stupid, and most of us already know to keep one eye open at all times because we're not blindly following. We're awake. We're paying attention, we're discussing, we're learning, and we're watching. We make dumb posts (on accident and on purpose) but constantly reminding us to simmer down because you can't enjoy the spoils is your problem not ours. Except for Fatpacks, he's actually useful.
Yeah people's constant need to be so nihilistic about the future is something that's been getting to me more lately. It doesn't help anyone like some of the people spreading this crap think it is, all it does is cause decomposition of spirit. The good thing is once you are able to recognize that this shit is literally meant to make you scared and unhappy, whether intentional or not, you become immune to it. Even the posters in this thread who post shit like the quoted post below only post this crap because they don't want people to be happy or content. You must always be in a state of panic because that's what people have been programmed to feel at all times. Saying "I like what the administration has done so far but I might not like what they do a couple years from now so I don't think think myself or other people should be happy about it. Always be critical" isn't helpful or informative, especially on this site of all places, it's just cringe and a bummer. It's unwarranted because this thread does call out Trump and Elon when they do retarded things, most of us here are capable of critical thinking and you will never convince the few people here that will always agree with Trump anyway, those types are like talking to a brick wall.

I think a significant reason Trump got such a positive turnout from the election is because he asked people to be positive and excited for the future which is a very different message than most politicians give, people want to be able to enjoy things and not constantly be miserable. When something happens to be upset about I'm sure you can count of this thread to call it out. Learn to enjoy the good things in life.
the idea of small and fractured city-states controlled by a Sillicon Valley elite does sound like a rehashed globohomo. Especially the concept of a “network state.”

Trump 45 and Trump 47 are very different and Trump 47 has been funded by some Dark Enlightenment acolytes who clearly have influence. The most prominent ones are JD Vance and Elon Musk. However, I can’t personally say I truly know their politics or end goals.

Like you said not all of their ideas are bad, and I believe what the administration has done so far is really good. I love seeing feds cry. However it’s been only one month and all I’m asking is for my fellow kiwis to keep their eyes open and remain critical.

I acknowledge that in the end Dark Enlightenment is a think tank and I’d do the same warning for any other group bending the President’s ear. I do think that they have sufficient influence to implement their agenda but I really don’t know if Trump is willing to go with it or just happy to take their money.

ask politics asking an important question

Their responses are so revealing. There are many small departments and programs in the federal government that actually are important and needed, but these types of commenters are never those feds who can justify what they do.

For example, there is a small part of the Department of Justice called the US Trustees Program. The USTP is made up of lawyers who represent the interests of the government in all bankruptcy proceedings. They essentially act as watchdogs who just make sure there isn't anything funny going on. They don't control the proceedings—they're lawyers who just make arguments in court and present objections to questionable things that debtors or creditors are trying to do. And that's important, not only because bankruptcy is a critical part of the federal courts—it's literally in the Constitution in Article I— but because bankruptcy is a very powerful tool that essentially uses the power of the federal government to restructure commercial relationships and absolve people/companies of legally enforceable debts. You need someone in the room to look over a final restructuring plan and make sure it's not abusing the power of the federal courts to screw over people who are owed money. The parties involved all have financial incentives to abuse that power, so a US Trustee is supposed to act as a safeguard.

When Purdue and the Sackler family—who got filthy rich peddling addictive opioids to Americans and lying about the drugs—tried to get a restructuring plan through the bankruptcy courts that nonconsensually released all claims of anyone who ever was harmed by the OxyContin scourge, it was the US Trustee who objected and appealed up to the Supreme Court (and won). To put that into plain English, Purdue Pharma and the Sacklers were trying to use the power of the federal courts to prevent the families of dead opioid victims from suing them. This was nonconsensual—even if you disagreed with that plan, you would be barred from suing. And the bar would be in place forever. They would never face justice in the courts for what they did. It was the US Trustee in New York who objected to this proposal, because of how egregious that would be for the American people.

But do you see anyone from the USTP commenting on reddit on these topics? No. They have actual, necessary jobs that are, in many cases, very important for the functioning of the court system and for the protection of the American people. And if you ask them whether they're needed and what they do each week, they could easily tell you and justify their existence. But I'm supposed to feel sorry for the director of DEI newsletters at the EPA? And when they say their job is important because they need to pay bills, I'm supposed to think that's okay in light of what I know are actually important jobs in the government?

It's all so tiresome. There are important federal workers who go under the radar who are being affected by these reforms. We should be able to engage seriously with those workers, who in some cases truly are overworked or underpaid, and who could make strong arguments for why being able to work from home allows them to do their important jobs better or attract higher quality employees. But they're not on reddit whining about losing their cushy DC administrative jobs and they're not being brought on to MSNBC to cry about the unfairness of the world. It's a disservice to the working parts of the federal government that these loathsome redditor parasites are being presented as representative of all federal employees.

Every libtard country at one point used to based. There's no cultural firewall that stops these parasites if they capture your institutions. Either you gatekeep them out of government, religion, and education, or they win.

It’s only allowed if the pregnancy is life threatening or the result of a crime.

Aka, neighbors got too many Syrians, so you can abort -those-

Here is the full Rubio interview with Catherine Herridge. She worked for CBS for years but was actually pretty decent and actually tried to be bipartisan, mandatory "Russia is Hitler Ukraine gibs forever" programming aside:

tbh Id support Canada going in as multiple states rather then just one giant state, also the UK we could just make England,Scotland, and Wales their own states and give Northern Ireland back to Ireland, Britain is in the worst situation out of any European country and id support invading them in order to save them from themselves, its a totalitarian shithole and a Neoliberal version of North Korea at this point

Holy shit, they're rehabbing Nixon to try and attack Trump. This is an opinion piece from The Hill.

"Nixon didn’t break the Constitution. Will Trump?" (archive)
President Trump has now made clear he believes he is above the law, posting on social media, “He who saves his country does not violate any Law.”

This is not the first time that the U.S. has faced the danger of a president ignoring the law and potentially even defying a court order. Over 50 years ago, we escaped that risk during Watergate. But unless the public better understands the dangers of an “I am above the law” president, the result today will not be the same.

In October 1973, the Court of Appeals in Washington upheld a District Court order directing President Richard Nixon to turn over tapes of presidential conversations to Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox. Would he comply with the court order?

Nixon directed the special prosecutor to accept a “compromise.” Cox said no and explained why the “compromise” was unworkable and non-compliant with the court order. The result was the so-called “Saturday Night Massacre,” in which Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus each resigned rather than follow Nixon’s order to fire Cox. Solicitor General Robert Bork then fired Cox.

The result was a firestorm of criticism, including from the public and from Democratic and many Republican office holders. As a result, within days Nixon reversed course and produced the tapes. A constitutional crisis had been avoided.

We obviously no longer live in 1973. Trump is an effective demagogue, and he has created a climate of fear that has led to a Republican Party dominated by officeholders fearful of meaningfully challenging him or who share his disdain for constitutional norms. In 1973, the non-print media reporting the news was largely three respected national television networks. Today we have Fox News, many other right-wing media and parts of social media that are all willing to parrot Trump’s propaganda rather than challenge the legality of his actions.

Most important, however, we have a large percentage of the public seemingly not sufficiently motivated to rise up in protest to demand action from their elected leaders when Trump — and his “co-president,” Elon Musk — simply ignore the law or threaten to defy court orders. The changed media environment and Trump’s demagogic skills reinforce this.

As Trump and Musk take a sledgehammer to government programs and effectively dismantle entities that were created by statute, much of the public only sees a generalized cutting of spending, which they like. For many Americans struggling with the pressures of everyday life, the threat to our system of checks and balances seems too abstract to be their focus.

We thus must find better ways to warn all Americans of the dangers of a president ignoring the requirements of statutes passed by Congress or the orders of courts declaring executive actions illegal. That leads to chaos, where laws are either ignored or enforced depending on who is in the White House.

Here are some questions that Americans who support Trump’s actions should consider.

Trump has used a dubious declaration of national emergency to enhance his immigration enforcement powers. What if the next president declares a national emergency because we lack sufficient workers to operate our farms and other essential industries, ordering that enforcement of all immigration laws be suspended for six months?

What if the next president decides that statutes forbidding federal dollars from being used for abortion-related services represents bad policy, and without bothering to get the law changed, issues an executive order declaring that those restrictions will no longer be followed? And then what if that president decides to ignore court orders declaring his actions illegal?

Or what if a new president, finding that the cycle of gun violence constitutes a national emergency, announces he doesn’t believe the Second Amendment applies to assault weapons and, without going to Congress, authorizes a program to seize all such weapons?

Whatever we think about the underlying policies, in America we should not want a president to have the unilateral ability to take any of these actions. The same is true of the actions being taken by the Trump administration.

Our democracy has flourished for nearly 250 years because the respective roles of the three branches of government were respected. The Congress makes the law, the president implements and enforces the law and the Supreme Court both interprets the law and makes sure the other branches abide by any legal or constitutional restrictions.

With all the problems that now exist in America, this system of government has enabled us to become the most successful nation in history. It is up to all of us to do all that we can to preserve it.

Richard J. Davis is an attorney. He was assistant secretary of the Treasury in the Carter administration and an assistant Watergate special prosecutor.
