I think he also said it'd be a bit cheaper for him to operate his merch stuff there. Good on him for moving somewhere better for him. Not sure Seattle itself is a good place, but it's better than Austin.
What the fuck is there to like about Seattle? Good for Ray and all, but Seattle is a god awful shithole to live in.
If he wants the tax/production benefits, its far better to live in one of the counties around Seattle. At least then you only have to deal with the State bullshit rather than the State and city bullshit.

God, how the fuck is Ray constantly winning? He left RT as soon as he saw the first signs of bad management, started a career with Twitch and now he's leaving Texas for the Pacific Northwest.

If he doesn't hang out with anyone in Austin, I find that kind of interesting. I know its been a long fucking time but most of everyone at RT stayed pretty tight with each other over the years but Ray is just not close to anyone from there anymore. (except Matt I suppose. Shared trauma) I guess Ray is a bit like me in that he just saw work as work and while he was good with folks back then, your former coworkers will pretty much stop interacting with you the second you're gone. Did he even react to Panton sending him Mr.Trials?
It is kinda crazy that he is the smartest ex RT guy and its not even close. Never plowed any fans, escaped RT far before all the controversies that would've tainted his image and singlehandedly crafted an empire of his own basically by himself (Man didn't stream collab for like 7 years or something) Bless our Puerto Rican God Emperor, Ray. If I'm remembering right, Ray said he hates people who drink from his days as a bartender. Everyone at RT was basically an alcoholic so it makes sense that he didn't want to spend that much time with them.

When I was still watching the only one of them who seemed smart was Ryan. The rest were unapologetic retards aside from Jack, he seemed like an average guy who thought he was way smarter than he was.
Guess it was wisdom versus intelligence, Ryan might be the most classically intelligent but Ray had the best feel for how things really are. Big ups Brownman keep earning Ws

IIRC even before he left RT he started a Twitch channel to do some streaming for fun on the side, but then RT basically took it from him and rebranded it as the official Rooster Teeth channel. That was probably a big enough reason for him to leave given that's what he went on to do after he left
