AP sues 3 Trump administration officials, citing freedom of speech
The AP really isn’t thinking this one through. The White House already selectively grants press passes. If the AP “win” they will have to let every schizo with an online blog into the White House because muh first amendment, and you know they don’t want that. Once again lefties can’t think beyond immediate consequences surprise surprise. Absolutely no way this survives the Supreme Court.

The courts also really don't have any authority over who Trump let's into the executive mansion, anymore then Trump has the authority to barge unannounced into the Supreme Courts chambers. Coequal branches.

I've said it before and I will say it again. The left is treating the Judiciary as a cargo cult. They know that their ancestors got results from doing these court lawsuit things, but they don't understand the mechanics of how or why. All they know is that if they file a lawsuit, they will get what they want without going through the trouble of winning elections or getting laws through Congress.

It's not working this time. For the dual reason that their is no valid legal theory that the courts have the power to do what they are being asked to do, and more dangerously that Trump will almost certainly ignore what any Judge orders short of the Supreme Court itself.

"We, the non-Western-Europeans, have no greatness, no culture, no explanations, no beauty, perhaps no humanity," said Amanda Kemp, a student at Stanford University who was active in the campaign three years ago to eliminate a required course in Western civilization. The view that Western civilization is inherently unfair to minorities, women and homosexuals has been at the center of politically correct thinking on campuses ever since the recent debate over university curriculums began.
decided to look up this person. Turns out she became some wacko DEI activist for some shitty podcast that she runs.

The Patriot Act was drafted years before 9/11 happened. The "commies" you think are responsible didn't exist in our government's structure when this shit started ages ago.

I was where you're at right now a few years ago. Hopefully you'll do the research necessary to come to the same conclusion rather than picking at your favorite illusory enemy given to you as a bone to chew on by the government that's been at this since the 20's at a minimum.
I won't disagree with you that the government is a responsible for a good portion of problems the United States is facing but ascribing everything to it and ignoring culture-shaping institutions in the form of NGOs, academia, news publications and the entertainment industry as well as the impact they have because they are deemed "illusory" doesn't seem wise. Nothing exists in a vacuum.

Could you imagine Youtubers being mixed in with journofags?
Vaush goes to the White House

Even if he doesn’t ignore it he could just start a press rotation and only put the AP in when nothing interesting is going on so they can’t exploit him for clicks.

I've been watching some of these complation videos of these allegedly "federal" workers bitching on TikTok and crying about being fired under big bad Orange Man, and I'm sitting here wondering why? These are not serious people. Why the fuck do these kids feel the consistent need to kvetch on the internet in video form? Most of the rest of us would just shrug and try and find a job somewhere else, right?

Am I missing something here? Last I checked the 1st Amendment doesn't give you the right to access White House press chambers. It simply prevents the government from prosecuting for speech. AP's right to the press aren't being trampled if they're no longer welcome in the White House because that access was a privilege, not a right. The judge is a Trump appointee anyway so I hardly think they'll win. This looks more like an optics case than anything else. AP knows they're going to lose but they'll use it as a chance to smear Trump (again) as an anti democratic tyrant

I asked myself that question, and I believe it's a combination of cultural conditioning and attention/sympathy whoring. You have theater kids and "mental health activists" telling the people around them that "letting their feelings out" whenever is not just a good idea, but entirely healthy and something that wouldn't bite them in the ass. In their circles, the louder you cry for something, the more likely you are to get it. Plus, why justify a job when it's you who needs it? You can't work anywhere else, you're a fed disabled! So please, pretty please, donate money, or even a manual typewriter to me!

So the media were hyperfocusing on plane crashes to give Trump shit over his policies. Lügenpresse strike again.
funny this comes out after it begins circulating for obvious reasons as a rumor anyway. if you ever see the media suddenly reporting on a wave of anything they normally don't, be suspicious and assume that there is an agenda to feeding you that information.

It was obvious from the get-go, especially when important positions like ATCs weren't fired, but to point fingers at Trump when the overall numbers were the lowest in 18 years is ludicrous. They're still lügenpresse and it can't be said too much that you'll never hate them enough.

There is a reason why the real threat to “democracy“ is an unelected bureaucracy, and their only way to cope is to do performative and fake activism.

Bonus when you find out that they were (possibly) funded by USAID.

Yeah, we're both talking about the production of the show, I'm glad you recognize that. What you said doesn't change meaning just because you reassert this stance.
I reasserted it because I wasn't fully sure how you misconstrued my poorly worded sentence as "double speak" but now that I know, I want to write a full paragraph explaining myself but that's autistic, so I'll just say ur dumb, ok?

You are acting like the previous rulings had strong legal theory behind it.

The Supremes were whole sale inventing new rights and getting rid of existing ones. 50s through 70s.

No one is immune to propaganda and we have been drowning in 50 years on how right and good a system that certain groups have a solid grasp on are.
