NASCAR fag here, let me fill in a few details about NASCAR/ARCA.

- The driving standards in ARCA are so awful that it's a meme within stock car racing circles. The term "ARCA brakes" is a widespread joke, due to their almost comedic propensity for driving full throttle into huge wrecks, either due to poor equipment or lack of skill. If you think Camelot's crash was embarrassing, just look up "ARCA brakes compilation" on YouTube and you'll see just how bad things truly are.

- Daytona is a massive oval track known for large pack racing. This is sometimes nicknamed "restrictor plate racing" due to the cars at one point (not anymore) having a metal plate in the engine to artificiality reduce the speeds to safer levels. Because you are full throttle around the entire track, the only way to build speed is by drafting other cars in a huge pack. Because of how tightly packed the cars in these packs are, one person losing control often will wreck half the field in one crash. Everyone knows this as "the big one." It is common & expected that multiple massive crashes like this will happen every race.

- Just in this particular race alone, there was 4-5 massive crashes, including a much more violent one than Cody's only a few laps later that sent a driver to the hospital.

So TL;DR, Coomalot's crash is indeed his fault and he should be laughed at, but ARCA is not F1. Fiery 15+ car crashes are so normal in ARCA that regular fans won't even remember it.

From the original angle I thought maybe someone tapped him and he lost the rear end but From his description and the higher angle video it looks like snap oversteer to me. He accelerates, the weight shifts rear, the front gets light and looses grip and the bank sucks him out. He looked planted though, and it's oval racing, it's not like the weight transfers are that extreme.. it's all about smooth sweeps. Maybe it was dirty air? The driver in front shifts his line outside just before our boy looses it. His inside tire might have lost grip suddenly from the downforce change/turbulence (or overreaction too it)?

Putting the daughter aside for a moment, there's still the rampant issue that Aaron said was that there were never drugs used in front of kids. As opposed to, for example, someone leaving a coke bullet lying around, or a coke and molly fuelled foursome happening while kids are in the house.
