They can't get over the fact that this isn't motivated by transphobia, can't they? The people who are involved in the torture and murder of this dood are LGBTQI++++, but yeah that was done out of transphobia. Fuck them for trying to appropriate any troon/pooner/enby/genderspecial death as hate crime, when it is almost always not that at all.
The moment I read about it I knew that the chances this was motivated by transphobia are like 0.0000000001%, and it is most likely that she was either involved with some very shady people, involved in some gang or drug dealers and this kind of shit, or murderers are actually people who are close to her or at the very least they know each other, including partner, roommate, close friends, etc. It is almost always the case. With transwomen there is also a lot of prostitution which is known to be a dangerous "profession", but hey, sex work is work and nothing is wrong with it, yeah?
At some point in 2023 I've read most of the list of "fatal violence against the transgender and gender-expansive community" by the Human Right Campaign of year 2022 (
link). You have to go to the full page of every one of these cases because more often than not, the reason of death is not mentioned at all on the main page. Then I discovered that sometimes, the reason of death is not mentioned at all even in the full page. But sure, this is due to transphobia, this is the default it seems. in the full page of every one of them, most of the text is just the same paragraphs, mentioning that the number of violent deaths of troons and genderspecial is higher because "too often these deaths go unreported — or misreported" (indeed, sometimes the death of prostitutes and people who are involved in crime on the margin of society go unreported) and then some other shit about how the authorities should do more for the trans and "gender-expansive" community and guns are bad (but not when troons and gender special use them, I guess) and transphobia, etc.
I'm sure none of you will be surprised to discover that not one of all the people I've read about died as a result of transphobia. Not a single one. The reasons were mostly some involvement in very shady business, prostitutions or other such dangerous activities which leads to death of thousands and thousands of "cis" people every year, but you barely hear about them, they are not of the sacred caste that is transgender and "gender-expansive" people. Sometimes it is death by the partner, so fucking obviously, not transphobia. In some cases the reasons of death are unclear (i.e. found shot in the car - sounds more likely this is gang-related thing or something like that but whatever) or not mentioned at all, so back then I googled every one of these to see if there is some clear motive of transphobia mentioned anywhere, but nothing. Two of the murdered died at the Club Q shooting. I'm sure you remember - the shooter identified as non-binary. I got tired at some point so I stopped, but I looked at most of these. No transphobia.
They really want it to be transphobia, but it is rarely, so rarely the case, if at all.
