As an American, you're already used to a much higher risk of getting shot in the street than the average European.

There are good reasons why I avoid big cities. Rural areas are safest. Worst that can happen to you, a hailstorm will happen in the night, or you fall into a ditch. All scum gravitates towards cities. Bigger the city, more scum is there.

*Manufacturing. (Not on the scale of Russia or China, but compared to Europe it’s massive)

*The ability to print money on demand. Europe can’t do that. Their massive debts have to be serviced by either cutting gibs to rapists or cutting gibs to thugs.

Well i think the status of global reserve currency is on the way out for the dollar. people take notice of things that happen, and is clear by now that dollar is no longer safe. It will take time, and blackmail will not work.

Anywhere in europe you will be fine as long as you avoid the slums. 'muricans are on average great folks. i would visit US more often if it was not for the long flights and the immigration officials. plus, travelling on italian passport i always get randomly chosen for an extended security check.

I suspect this might have a more sinister origin. There's a good chance that Trump does not realize how much of a complete nonstarter that would be to the Russians. "Be a pal and let me, the head of a NATO country, have this critical territory!" is not going to play well outside the White House.
Some might argue that anything can happen in a "global realignment", but ask yourself this: how much territory did the defeated party, Russia, gain during the last "global realignment"?
