Lets get real. Chinese is a horrible sounding language

how can you even take this language seriously it sounds like youre making random sounds with your mouth

Here's my say on a set of selected languages:

It takes some finesse to master a tonal language. It doesn't matter what it sounds like to us unless it's our native language. Chinese is rather alien compared to western languages. It's going to sound strange to us but it's a very different case if you speak it natively.

Chinese is kind of middle of the road to me. There's nicer sounding languages, but it's not bad. Mandarin is the softest of the tonal languages imo. Cantonese usually sounds like they're yelling/arguing with each other, no matter what the actual context is. Isn't ugly to me personally though.

I think Hindi is way worse, even Indians speaking English with an accent is grating to me. There are a few jeets in my apartment building and they're always talking on the phone walking outside, idk how they can stand the sound of their own language sometimes.

I dunno, there's something very fascinating about the way Chinese sounds. It's almost musical. No wonder the Chinese love gongs so much.
most indigenous languages of the Americas, but probably because in practice they're almost always spoken by Americans who grew up speaking American English (thus, an underlying American accent)
I once watched a video of a younger Indian demonstrating their ancestral language, and I determined that her pronunciation sounded so obviously American that I could pronounce it better than her. It's kind of too bad you'll never truly hear them, since some Indian languages had really interesting phonology. All the actual recordings either have a heavy American accent, were done by very old people who were probably lifelong smokers (Big Tobacco loved marketing to minorities like Indians), or were recorded a century ago on a literal tin can.
I enjoy the Finnish language after watching The Dudesons (basically Jackass) all their curse words involve satan/dicks or satan's dick.
I think it's all the vowels that make it sound so nice and fewer harsh sounds than Germanic languages or that sorta nasally tone Slavic languages have. It sounds cool on metal albums.

The one that has pleasant sounds. English for example "de facto language" is good.
Japanese is good.
French is good.
Spanish is good.

I guess you can fill in the blank to others you like or dont like?

I guess only minor nitpick is.

"Hebrew language". Someone gotta update "Heth" sound to not sound like you are harking up a spit. But outside that i dont mind Semitic languages either.
Hebrew honestly sounds like a mix between French and Arabic, especially the Israeli English accent, so I'm surprised you find it so ugly.

Only the "Heth" (ח‎) sound. It sounds like its trying to hark up the word. I just ask that Hebrew language experts to fix that one sound to sound normal, outside that i didnt mind it.

I mean whenever Benjamin Netanyahu talks about Hamas. A Normal person would say "Hamas". Not this guy, he says "(Hark)a(mas)

Saying i hate Hebrew language would be an exaggeration, but it has that one flaw.

Mandarin has only 400 syallable sounds in it. English, by contrast, has thousands and even tens of thousands if you include all the non-used syllables that can be formed from the alphabet. E.g. vot, fup, sipe etc.

A whole language comprising of only 400 sounds is incredible and it's the reason learning Chinese is so hard. The chair is a dong, the door is a dong, a song is a dong and your dong is a ding.

kneeee haaoow
