there's precedent in some places that warning people who are engaged in criminal activity that police or law enforcement are coming can be tried as accessories to the act. not impossible for them to get them with this, especially if the exec works hard to make it happen.

Its a trait of america's "think as far as next quarter" mentality going up against the chink's "think as close as next century" mentality. the chinese were obviously using american films as a stopgap until they can create their own versions of american blockbusters, its why they mainly only allowed blockbusters. the MCU was a loss leader for chink theaters so that their citizens would get used to going to movies and then once they're there they can see chinese comedies or dramas or war epics and its why they were only allowing US films for about a decade before stopping it almost altogether.
