Meanwhile another Twitter account, Svetman3806281, who allegedly works in Bucharest court (but is generally thought to be someone close to the Tates) has stated the Tates are free and everything has been dropped. Svetman has gotten some minor things correct but has also made several completly wrong predictions in the past.

There are two factors here: First, the brothers have used literally every procedural loophole and filed tons nuisance suits against both prosecutors and several of the victims and second, looking at similar cases the Romanian legal system is slow as molasses in general.
Until now, the Tates had travel restrictions due to well documented attempts at witness intimidation and bribery.

Tate is connected very deeply to the E-Right and Redpill griftosphere and has essentially had his lawyer and a bunch of shills build a PR machine around the idea that "the matrix" is persecuting Tate because he "teaches boys unapologetic masculinity and conservatie values".
He has also placed people who're both very sympathetic to him and who have business connections to him to the tune of many millions inside the Trump admin.
