I don't really think they're that big on alcohol if for no other reason than they prefer substances they can get covered by Medicaid. No idea about Dalton but I bet Kim is a fairly dedicated pill popper. Supposedly opiate use during pregnancy is known to have some correlation with birth defects and prematurity among other issues, but there aren't a lot of great studies on it so how much harm it directly causes, if any, isn't clear. Almost definitely. Nobody's renting to these types of people if it involves them having actual tenant's rights knowing there is no chance you won't end up eating shit. Motel-ish shitholes that shuffle tenants between rooms to keep them from establishing tenancy are likely the best they can do, because that way you can just throw them out on their asses immediately when they start with the sob stories about running out of money.
