Mega Rad Gun Thread

I fucking hate politicians and their slimy double-speak. Fucker is lying out of his ass, not only about his motivations, but also about Rittenhouse provoking those fuckers into attacking him so he could claim self defense.

It's the Californian libshits bubble, that has yet to be burst.

And basically want to destroy castle doctrine.

84BBs for $299. I have the money but I stop myself from ever buying anything fun so please someone else do so. I have a .32 81BB already. Very fun to shoot. You can shoot 32 from these if you'd find a 32 barrel and then just need a mag. Same with the 32s and 380

Well, I just went ahead and ordered one. I hope you're happy with yourself. 🙂

The double action will likely be pretty heavy. They're meant to be carried cocked and on safe. Beretta is making new 80Xs so it'll have parts and mags even more now. Have fun. Also can't hurt to get a snap cap. Some people have issues with dry firing them a lot and the firing pins

This is absolutely just a "for funsies" range toy, so I'm not too worried about the DA trigger. I've already got some snap caps (I like dry fire practice while watching TV - don't judge me) in .380.

the Beretta 84 is a balanced recoil pistol, with the ratio between recoil spring and hammer spring determining pull weight and recoil. a 12# hammer spring will greatly lighten trigger pull while barely increasing perceived recoil. Wolf makes springs for it still iirc.
My 81BB is Italian forest service surplus (has the markings and everything) so they may have a heavier spring in there but God it's hefty. I should look into something else. As a hefty all metal 32 it's already got basically zero recoil. It's fun. I love the irons actually. Much preferred to 3 dot

Seriously. I'm SUPPOSED to use my New Gun Funds for an S&W Classic Model 29 now that the Hillary Holes are gone.
The Classic 29 still has the Hillary Hole as far as can be told. The 10, 19 and 36 are the only no-lock revolvers.

Would a CVA Cascade be good or nah

I wanna get something in 6.5 or 300 PRC since it's supposedly more accurate than 300 win mag, but idk if that gun is worthy of a PRC
There are lemons in all brands but CVA seems to be okay. Tikka is generally the one that's pushed for a PRC base since Howa allegedly grenades, Bergara has bad extractors and Savage has been shitting the bed in quality this past decade.

My mom just asked about getting a better self defense pistol for her to use than what my dad currently has around the house, a 6" GP100.

I think this may be perfect. Cheap enough for them to actually consider it (despite the absolute fact that I know they could afford much more...) and for the price its not an absolute POS that is a Taurus or equivalent new gun.

An 8/10's 92 should fit the bill perfectly, with enough capacity to be practical for HD, even if its "just" a .380.

As was mentioned before, shell out for Lehigh Defense, those Xtreme Penetrators are impressive even in .380.
Those Lehigh defense 380s are fucking brutal wound channel wise despite not being a HP, and good penetration. People shit talk 380 a lot and I really don't understand. Shot placement is everything and man some of the 380s out there are like 22 recoil. Even the P365 in 380 despite it's size is like shooting a 22. The biggest downside of 380 is the cost. More than 9mm.

I guess I should be looking on GB for a pre-lock model 29.
29-2 is considered the best, but when I waded through discussion between Smith fans I decided that if I ever wanted a .44 I would get a Ruger. Now that Smiths and Rugers are not doing so hot from the factory I would just get an Anaconda. They beefed it up and now it's an upgraded Colt Trooper that uses Python grips.

the anaconda was always a trooper action. its was the last revolver colt developed in the 90s. It's they python that was upgraded from a 1899 action to the trooper action.

Well, waiting on another tax stamp. This will be my second and it's for another sound suppressor. I went for the SilencerCo Hybrid 46M. I seriously lucked out with it. I haven't found one in stock anywhere, but my local Scheels just happened to have one left in stock. Their last one. They don't have lay away, so I applied for a Scheels Visa and was approved. I also got $75 off for applying for the card. I had most of the money saved up for it, but was basically short the money for the tax stamp. I was worried I was going to have to backorder it like I did with my Vox S, but thankfully won't have to do that. Here's hoping this tax stamp won't take two months to be approved like my last stamp did. I'll have to buy the pistol mounting kit for it, which will include the piston. I'll be getting the piston with the correct thread pitch for my H&K Mark 23, and I'll probably get a second piston to be able to run it on 9mm pistols until I can get a dedicated 9mm can. I also plan on getting either a direct thread mount or a muzzle brake for a .45 cal rifle because I want to buy a Marlin 1895 SBL in .45-70 Govt in the not-too-distant future. I was considering getting the Obsidian 45 suppressor, but it isn't rated for rifle cartridges like .45-70. The Obsidian is a smaller and lighter can, but isn't as versatile as the Hybrid 46M.
