Yeah Lazer pig seems genuine the problem is he is genuinely stupid in comparison to everyone else. Sure he can artistically talk about tanks but this guy probably has zero clue how to decipher talking points from propaganda

It's 100% a "cutting off your nose to spite your face" scenario.

Right wing evropa-larp fags are a great example of this. They hate "left-wing" policies but even the most hard line right winger in europe is like a centrist at best so they cling to american conservationism on the vague hope that it will somehow transfer over. Even though american conservatives have a generally anti-europe sentiment.
Anifag hates russia but there isn't much that can be done to them from the euroside or from the china side (short of Xi backstabbing putin) so they cling to this fantasy of "Oh america will show you!"

It's a lot easier to fantasy about your bully getting beat up by a bigger bully than it is to actually build your strength and stand up to them yourself.

There's nuance to this. The sort of European right-winger who simps for the states is less someone who larps EVROPA and more the sort that thinks that what Europe actually needs is more neoliberalism and free markets. They don't really believe in anything except GDP growth and that free speech is a problem when it's not supporting this monomanical GDP growth chase.

You need these sorts of rabid people to create a false enemy. Russia will never have fangs anymore to truly harm the US (go back to the 70s if you want to get technical about it), but the need to have this enemy has to happen since you need warhawks and others preoccupied. Think about why NAFO exists and the positive outlook on anything Ukrainian. It is less a "left wing right wing" issue and more dealing with retarded rabid dogs.

I was scrolling through the video and found it extremely odd he did not make mention of those. Maybe he wanted to mention older historical events? Still, 3 and a half hours is more than enough time to cover those issues in a somewhat nuanced way. It would be far more informative too.

Yes, which is why they are such simps for people like Reagan. Though, they are different from their American counterparts in the sense that they are much more likely to be liberal on social issues because they want something to be smug about and pretend that they are somehow better informed about the world than the Americans and the Russians.

Other recs I have off the top of my head are Drachinifel, Charlemagne (he’s a bit more on the right wing side of his opinions if you’re not interested in that, but I find his analysis interesting), CW Lemoine has an interesting perspective as a former F-16 pilot and tries to stay apolitical as he can, Hyphysterical History hasn’t really been overly political in his long form content but it’s been a minute since I watched him, and I’ll try to add others as they come to mind.
