Truthfully, I don't really know if qualia has any effect on the brain. One may assume that your brain is inalienable to your existence as a whole, that without it you cease entirely, qualia and all. While that may be true in terms of your personality, emotion, memory, and everything else imperative to your human experience, these are also only useful in the context of the world in which they exist. Qualia is conceptually a prerequisite for existence to begin with. There is no way to tell if others have qualia like you do, therefore the only thing you can actually be sure of is that you and you alone have it. With that certainty out of the way, you can now begin to perceive the whole of existence itself. No qualia -> no existence. "But others exist without my perception" that is a presupposition based on learned experience gathered by your brain. There is no precedent for any of these concepts to be one way or another because they are once again explicitly concerning ideas outside of the scope of reality. By this point, any interpretation is as likely or valid as the other because the end result is exactly the same. Are we all conscious? Or is there only one consciousness being shared between everyone in parallel realities where everything plays out the exact same except this time the qualia is observing someone else? But at the most bottom line, they simply exist. But it's not some perfect destined design that is the only reality that could be. It can't be because there are literally infinite alternative concepts, laws of nature or physics that you could conceptualize and design to apply to a hypothetical alternate existence. When thinking outside of the bounds of the physical world, you aren't working with determinism, physical rules and principles, or even time at that point. The previous limitation of every possible combination of every possible particle in every possible location at every possible time that prevents infinity from actually existing in this world is blown out of the water. The fact that this world and all of its specific and arbitrary facets exist implies that really, any reality consisting of any number of arbitrary mechanics, familiar to this one, or comparatively totally bizarre or absurd can exist in the same vein. For example, there could be 4 spatial dimensions. Or 5. The math as it is, works out. But there are only 3. Depth, width and height. It gets to the point where I anticipate that any possible concept or idea you can imagine, as well as those you never will, do exist. If it seems 'too good to be true' that's your brain's reward system poisoning the well. A lot of these supposed realities would not even approach anything resembling real life. Nor would your perception or involvement in them involve anything like a human body or brain. You might question what the point of exercising this experience without the kind of emotion or human sense of exploration of curiosity would be, but the simple fact of the matter is that something does exist, and the arbitrary nature of that first something implies that other, similarly arbitrarily different somethings could exist in the same way. I no longer frequent the circles that are tangentially related to this, so I don't know much and am basing this off of the empty spaces dictionary (here's a list of everything in a txt file) because i'm schizophrenic enough to know what it means
The impression that I get is that there are three "layers" of porn involved in the gooning world (format-wise, rather than subject-matter-wise):
images, stories, and videos—what most people up until recently have been familiar with.
PMVs/HMVs—rapid-fire, dopamine-maxxed, quick-cut music videos splicing tons of clips together (these days with phonk and house music, mostly).
Hypno.
You may have a ton of porn addicts hooked on the first two, but in my opinion you don't really have a "gooning" subculture without the third—any groups that call themselves "gooners", but don't involve hypno, seem to be dependent upon or derivative of those that do.
The whole ethos behind gooning seems to involve trying to transcend the human biological limitations on sexuality; they think of it as something that you can only experience—or "make contact" with—in isolated flashes due to how the body works (especially the male body), and they want to extend that experience or make it permanent. They use a bunch of techniques (and usually drugs, it seems) to do this, but it doesn't matter if the goonsesh lasts five minutes or ten days—eventually it ends.
It makes sense that re-programming the mind and personality itself would be the logical next step: instead of the "porn god/goddess" being something you can only briefly make contact with through the physiologically limited machinery of your sexual anatomy, it makes more sense to just install it as a "tulpa" (or similar method) directly into your body, either co-operating with or over-writing your personality.

@Outer Space Traveller asked a really good question, which is essentially, "where does this stuff come from?"
My half-educated guess is that it's a combination of organic activity meeting top-down structures, kind of like a corporate buyout—but where exactly do the two meet? Are people organically coming up with hypno communities and linking up with shadier structures up-the-chain, or are they starting out as groups of hypno-less perverts and getting introduced to hypno from farther up?
More concisely—where did tulpa.info come from? Where are these people learning about hypnosis; are they learning about it independently, or are they in a sort of loose "tradition"?
If we want to know what kind of animal we're dealing with, it seems like we need to know the history of these psychological/occult techniques, and where perverts are getting introduced to them.
