This reminded me of the Todd Kowalski section of this, with his Ibanez, single pedal, and use of his volume knob:

Though Chris Hannah (yes, he is a wanker most of the time) choosing a guitar he picked up in a dodgy gas station is quite funny too.
I'm not even sure Propagandhi count as professional working musicians by most peoples definitions because I can't tell if they actually make a living from it. I have seen them live a bunch of times over 20+ years and they always sound fucking amazing, perhaps because they can actually play their instruments so they don't need posey gear. How to clean everything and Today's Empires are the sound of my youth.
A significant proportion of touring punk bands use guitars that cost significantly less than £1k, though to be fair they're broke as fuck. I doubt most bassists would choose anything fancier than a P bass if they had the option (sorry I don't know actual guitars lol, ime guitarists can be quite a lot nerdier). It sounds like its not actually too different in other genres of music.
Really just shows how far removed Dave is from being a musician. As if we needed more evidence lol.
ETA: even when he has the privilege of having custom guitars made for him,
Matt Freeman chooses a P bass and still has an ancient one he's been using forever. I suspect most of the guitarists on that rig rundown have less fancy gear than Dave, yet are notable enough for a nerdy youtube channel to want to know what they use.
