They literally don't know how. The entire ideology of the EU is modern liberal managerialism. In their minds war's are impossible because all human interactions follow algorithmic outcomes of behavior and if an error occurs its not a failure of the system. There just weren't enough people managing the system and created a blind spot. The solution therefore is not to alter the system. Its to hire more managers. The idea that Europe would have to fight a war is impossible because if it did then that means their proper management failed. And it can't fail.

It Trump comes out ahead in this in any way, the "it was staged" thing will echo throughout the next 10 years, even as Zelenskyy hangs off the gallows and the new Russian Governor of the Russian state of Ukraine promises immediate rebuilding efforts and an investigation into the wartime atrocities of the previous administration.

I just have a really hard time believing that this actually happened, when I was watching it live I was like, this is what the public has been conditioned to think can happen because it happens in tv shows and movies but this hasn't happened since, what, the fucking shoe? and that was two equals, not a suppliant and a patron.

The outgoing Clinton administration did a lot of protocol sabotage to the Obama administation and I noticed that the general public didn't get it because the general public no longer understands, well, having manners. But most of that sabotage was signalling to the other power players, not to us. This really feels like kayfabe.
