Bad webcomics

I went to go look at the comments, and for the most part it’s “Oh, I love Niko!” Because impressionable minors on the internet love themselves an edgelord.

I think I’m ready to throw Niko into the bin of “Insufferable characters who the author desperately wants us to like” along with the likes of Chloe from Life is Strange and Taash from Veilguard. At least I’m assuming the author wants us to like Niko.
Edit because man is this page bothering me, especially the last panel. Let’s ignore that there’s a playground at a high school for some reason. Niko is happy to slip out and have “as much fun as I want” if he’s clever enough, however that works. I think this once again solidifies how this warren situation is a very bad thing for Percy. If Niko thinks that underage smoking is fun and he’s always doing stupid shit, what else would he get up to? What happens if he does something that gets Percy arrested? And I ask again, why am I putting so much thought into this??

It's some stupid stylistic thing that's common around these parts. I have no idea where it originated from or why it's a thing, but it's supposed to be like adding less garish sparkles to eyeliner or eyeshadow from what I can tell. Salt and Pepper also does this in her art, for example, and I really cannot understand it. I guess it's so that it implies that the eyelids are sticking out? Or it's done just to avoid drawing a bunch of uninterrupted black... I really don't know. It's baffling. I wish I could remember where it came from.

Why are artists so weird about self harm, anyway?
I can only assume it's a representation thing, but they're way too happy to constantly imply super cartoony characters cutting themselves to the point it's in their designs.

It looks like the artist tried to do that lazy stylized thing where the eye is drawn as a "V," only because the head is turned up and there's a shine added to one edge of the eyelid it looks like a very narrow, vertical eye with a second horizontal eyelid instead of a single eyelid. Simply drawing it as a single curve instead would have made it easier to understand visually.

The comic where it shows Piro and Largo's very different yet equally dysfunctional approaches to dating is a classic.

Why is Piro so unironically cringe?

Am I just being stupid? Because this did not register as a wolf to me. Maybe it’s the snout, I feel like it’s not long or angular enough.

Imagine if you were living in a house with like three other people, and one of them is a prick who makes the place smell like smoke and does stupid shit all the time, probably almost set the place on fire once. And he’s like “Well it’s my house too, so suck it up! I can do whatever I want!” Now imagine not being able to kick him out for whatever reason. That’s Niko. That’s what he’s been solidified as for the rest of the comic in my eyes.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Niko is that prick who parks in the center of a two-car long space or sees a plate of snacks at work and takes the whole lot. Just inconsiderate and selfish.

Kai's put up with a lot of shit from schizobunny but even he is having none of this.

how did salt and pepper actually consider the consequences of something like this and then proceed to declare that being so delusional that some milque-toast assholes taking up residence in your brain during angsty teen years is worse than lung cancer

A couple of Captain Obvious comments, and a more nuanced one. I CAN see where they're coming from on why he is the way he is. However I say he still needs to go to hell. And possibly get thrown into a dumpster.
