Wanted to counterbalance the Ukraine-bad news with some other perspectives and have been listening to a few youtube videos with Sarah C. M. Paine. She has some actually interesting views that aren't just simplistic moral arguments for why we should support Ukraine. Edit: The title says Hitler but it goes over various dictators (mainly Hitler + Imperial Japan, surprising, I know), and relates some of it to Putin's actions in Ukraine.

The Russian Army has been chewed up, manpower and equipment. Even if there is an armistice with Ukraine still going to be a lot of troops stationed in the area contiguous to Ukraine. Russia's using ancient tanks because they cannot build enough new ones. Economy under stress. Demographics are shit. Muslim issues. As an aside, Putin has drawn relatively few men from the big cities, preferring to get them from the smaller towns and the countryside. LOTS of young men's graves out in the boonies. Russian logistics are shit, been getting a lot of munitions from North Korea, of all places.

Russia's military is in a better state now than it was at the beginning of the war, and is the only military on the planet to have veterans of a near-peer conflict. Europe has small militaries, little industry, and economies that are artificially inflated and rapidly turning to shit. The US is not in a great position at the moment (massive debt, deindustrialisation), but has much more potential to turn things around. Demographics are shit in all Western countries, and they all have Muslim and nigger problems.

So how likely would it be that Putin tries to invade a NATO country, such as the Baltics or Finland? We already have troops stationed in the Baltics on a rotational basis, and you know Article 5 would be invoked. Also suggest that Russian collective memory hasn't forgotten two bloody (for the Russians) wars with the Finns last century.

Unlikely, but mostly because what would Russia have to gain? It has all the resources and land it needs.

Fyi, Richard Grenell is appointed by Trump as the Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions (a position created specially for him) and is also the Interim President of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He was also acting Director of National Intelligence at the beginning of Trump's first administration.

If true, and it would surprise me if it wasn't, they should probably all hang from a rope for treason. This would be the forceful gesture of being in charge Trump actually needs to avoid his second term being like his first: constantly sabotaged and undermined.
