There's definitely people that just hate the US, but that's not the only reason for that kind of phrasing. It's also to remind Our Heroes that they were not Washington crossing the Delaware for a surprise attack on professional mercenaries in order to free our country from tyranny, and they were not SOE operatives on certain-death commando missions against Nazi Germany in order to stop global fascism. Nope, they were killing 65IQ stone-age sand people, for whom goat herds are a legitimately consequential fact of life. They were killing those people in their own country and their own homes to zero benefit (and in fact great cost) to our own country. They also weren't pressed into doing this, they weren't drafted. Does anyone have any theories on what Pete Heggseth and the current admin intend to slash on Defense spending? The stated goal was "40%" a few weeks ago but that's crazy talk to me, even if those cuts come at a rate of 5% to 8% per year over several years. I could see there being savings on things like procurement for Javelin (which should be cheaper anyway) but how in the world are they going to cut out 40% when about a dozen modernization projects are going on between the six branches?

If such budget cuts do get implemented, how will they affect SOCOM's ability to do OPSEC leaks?

I've taken a rather large dose of psilocybin in addition to the micro-dosing I do. The large dose was damn unpleasant but it helped me out quite a bit. I too am afraid to try DMT but it may be another step on the path I need to take. If I ever go down that road I'll share about the experience with you all.
