First off, is it me or is the photoshopping getting worse. the left side of her face looks un-naturally smooth and gives me the heebie-geebies, but the weird painted tongue doesn't exactly help.

Also to be fair at very least it makes sense to get a credit card just to help build up a score, but good lord I would never tell anyone to rack up the debts on one, make some purchases on it you can pay off asap but that's it. Never ever just use it to the limit and then "pay it off" - sounds like the exact recipe to get yourself into a bigger mess than the one you were already in.

I know what she's trying to say, but the wording is so vague people can easily use her advice to do the worst possible thing. Actually knowing Alison she thinks she's doing the right thing (small purchases you can, and do, pay off in full with the first bill) but instead is racking up interest with her debt. But that's exactly what those evil capitalist credit card companies want anyways so good job, Alison. You're really showing them what you think of them.

My parents were absolute hawks when it came to exploiting credit cards for their own profit - they would open new ones all the time to farm airline miles on them, or if they offered a better package than what they currently had. And they always paid them off before the end of the month to make sure there wasn't any interest to pay off later.

That's the way to do it IMO. Read the fine print about what your credit card offers, reap all the benefits and then give the company the middle finger and never give them a cent of interest.
