The take I heard is that it's actually just them being chickenshits and sending it back down to the lower court rather than point out that no, the lower court is fucking insane. They punted. As part of the punt, they said "well what we've already spent is spent."

So Roberts gets to avoid doing any actual work that might threaten the dignity of his court and his place on the Epstein Island replacement, and ACB gets to jill herself silly at how she's saving the world by making sure money goes to starving pygmies in Papa Neu Guinea so they can learn lesbian interpretive dance or something. The leftists in the court were always going to vote lockstep with the left on this because we don't have the will as a nation to impeach them for this shit.
Reviewing a TRO at all is controversial from my understanding.

The dissent (with four justices) also was unsigned, while a review would have required only four justices sign off on it. So this can also be interpreted as them telling the lower courts they're being watched and that SCOTUS is prepared to start intervening if they keep up the bullshit.

Also the order talks about the government needing to pay for work already completed, not further work that'd keep the programs going.

My line of thinking has always been, if they went through the lengths of whacking the guy inside a prison, I doubt the powers that be would allow the files and evidence to survive, especially when we had a demented president for 4 years that didn't even know where the fuck he was 90% of the time.
The kid fucking was just the ink used to sign much more nefarious contracts. The implications being if you break that much more illegal contract they will release your blackmail tape and prosecute just you over it. If you destroy the blackmail a lot of parties to those illicit contracts would renege on them without recourse.

MAGA is dead and gone, pack it up everyone. The courts will fuck us over constantly for the next four years and Trump will do nothing to stop them.
People have been saying things like this for about 8 years now, and I have yet to see that come into fruition.

Maybe not quite as many people take it as seriously anymore, but that's not the same thing as "MAGA just died, y'all".

That's what I actually like about The Office. It feels less like a sitcom and more like a blog. Almost like you're actually there as an observer. I think Parks & Recreation and Modern Family does that too. The forced absurdity with the writing and acting can be much because it feels unnatural.
At this point it's overdone and hacky. It also makes shows difficult for me to watch because I get motion sick pretty easily. I can't even handle some profile pictures here, even though they wouldn't normally bother photosensitive people.

That's assuming JD would even be allowed to become president, which he won't.

MAGA is dead and gone, pack it up everyone. The courts will fuck us over constantly for the next four years and Trump will do nothing to stop them.

The case involves a small amount of USAID payments that contractors say their owed for work already performed.

Honestly this is the correct ruling for the Supreme Court to make and it doesn't really hurt Trump's agenda in any significant way.

The auto industry needs to take a fucking beating for this shit. The fact these car companies are getting away with this grift while quality is tanking is insanity. Nobody should be taking out what's essentially a second mortgage for cars. No vehicle period outside of exclusive luxury vehicles should be costing anymore than $15k-20. The worst part is, it's all inflated costs. The vehicles fucking sit in the lot and rot for months, if not years or sit in a warehouse until eventually nobody buys them because they're charging 45k for a damn SUV.
This is also kinda why I’ve always looked side eyed at union factory workers. When shit started going overseas, you’d always hear about these smug assholes with quotas they hit by lunch time and then they’d sit around for the rest of the day flipping off their bosses.. like the pride was fake and they saved it for the picket line

Idk. The teamsters president there, Sean O’Brien? He got me thinking by endorsing trump and seeming to give a fuck about the state of industry, but before that, I’ve always disliked factory unions

PL but almost all developers I’m seeing in small towns are Indians/SE Asians/Arabs or Indian/SE Asian/Arab exclusive companies.
All I know is some of the people who told me to "learn to code," and that my job would be gone by now, have been replaced by H1-Bs and I still have my job.
