What conspiracy theories do you believe in? - Put your tinfoil hats on

Lately, been thinking that there's something going on in the production side of retail, lot of companies slashing private labels offerings and boosting their own brands. I keep on running into issues of store brand offerings shrinking in size or being discontinued entirely while the name brand options are hitting everywhere. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it feels like every store is pushing name brands everywhere, while their own branded product is shrinking in presence or disappearing.

Someone upthread was speculating that the supply chain on most things has more or less collapsed and the astronomical rise in grocery prices is to tamp down demand to keep shelves from emptying

Financial figures have been screwed with to make inflation look worse than it is, most of us know this, for those who don't, the items used by (The UK Government) to calculate the rate of inflation were changed in 2020, to mask how rampant inflation was.

Inflation isn't high for financial reasons, but because of supply and demand of food. Inflation is being used to hide how horrendously close we are to empty shelves and civil panic, so a deal has been struck; High demand and low supply puts prices up, to a certain point, to mask how badly the supply really is.

However, this is failing, as people are adjusting to the higher cost of living, meaning they keep 'rubber-banding' back to their old purchase habits, forcing overnight price-hikes in products to dissuade people from buying, while maintaining a profit margin for the companies.

TL;DR - Inflation is masking starvation-levels of poor supply chains, while stabby-migrants are being used as a distraction so no-one looks too closely.
Quoting myself for info for the first poster, who I agree with and never considered the home-made brands.
I did notice, just yesterday, funnily enough, that my store-brand cereal - which is 1/5th of the price and more healthy than the name-brand alternative, is out of stock, and has no date for when the next lot come in. I've been buying this product without issue for a year and have never seen the stock even low, let alone gone.

Very peculiar.

I'm definitely seeing less and less little brands in stores, it used to be that the big companies like kellogg or nestle were just a part of the lineup, they were there in the cereal isle alongside small healthy family brands, no name brands, and store-brand knockoffs ala "tiger mascot sugary bits" and "silly rabbit fruity chomps"
now it's just walls upon walls of big brand stuff, at most maybe a single store brand product that isn't by 2-3 of the same big corporations
and its the same for other products too

something is definitely funny here

WWII was caused by Anne Frank wishing to be a famous writer on a monkey paw.
thoughts on the theory that she didn't actually write her own diary?

there's already a good bit of suspicion that parts of it have been added or altered by her father, but some say she never wrote a diary at all and the whole thing might've been fabricated

I'm 100% certain her dad wrote some of it, and could probably be convinced of more, but I'm absolutely certain he added to it, he didn't just edit.

i saw statements suggesting the difference in handwriting as well as dating of the writing on the pages themselves shows a large discrepancy between the pages written by a "main writer" and someone separate, but looking it up brings up nothing, to no one's surprise

i'm sure someone itt has some sources that document a similar thing i'd love to take another look at it

Supply chains are absolutely borked and they have been for a while now.
I notice fewer types of anything in the supermarket. Worse quality on everything, including veg and meat.
In store for kids clothes, and the few times I’ve checked for adults, there’s no size range. I can go in and look for something like socks and they will have toddler size and maybe one kids size but not the complete range. Women’s clothes similar - completely sold out of the middle if the size ranges, only the size 6-8 and the 18+ stuff left. It’s very noticeable. Store will have maybe one it two of something but nothing in the back even if you ask. Ship times on everything are longer.

This makes sense. The first copies that were published had parts cut out like Anne's teenage anger directed toward her mother and some of her fantasies and sexual references. So if her father wrote some extra things to pad it out, it adds up.

There was a lawsuit by a novelist named Levin who was not paid as promised by Otto Frank w/r/t the play. Keep this in mind when researching because of disinfo based on that specific lawsuit.
Wrtiting to a penpal:

As for the diary itself:
image_2025-03-05_170505035.png
THE COPYRIGHT to the book The Diary of Anne Frank is owned by the Anne Frank Fund of Basel, Switzerland. Because Anne Frank died of typhus in 1945, any book written by her would have entered the public domain in 2015. To prevent that (so they can keep profiting from sales), the Fund has admitted that much of the text was interpolated after the end of World War 2 by Otto Frank, who was Anne Frank’s father. (ILLUSTRATION: Otto Frank, collage artist and salesman extraordinaire.)
Of course, this has been known in certain circles for quite some time. Parts of the text, although attributed to Anne Frank, show a distinctly different handwriting. Also, parts of the text were originally written with ink from a ballpoint pen, and those first came into popular use in 1951. There has long been a number of tell-tale clues that The Diary of Anne Frank isn’t what it purports to be, but rather is largely fictional and written by someone other than Anne Frank.
But the Jews in charge of that book have never before admitted this obvious fact — until now. And the reason they’re doing it now is money. From now on, you’ll be hearing how Otto Frank, being very well-informed about his daughter’s experiences, was merely acting as her ghost-writer, putting in nothing other than what actually happened. The Jews won’t give up any more than they have to, in order to keep this financial resource productive for themselves.
The Wikipedia entry on the matter relates “In 2015 the Anne Frank Foundation made an announcement, as reported in the New York Times, that the diary was co-authored by Otto Frank. According to Yves Kugelmann, a member of the board of the foundation, their expert advice was that Otto had created a new work by editing, merging, and trimming entries from the diary and notebooks and reshaping them into a ‘kind of collage,’ which had created a new copyright. Agnès Tricoire, a lawyer specializing in intellectual property rights, responded by warning the foundation to ‘think very carefully about the consequences.’ She added ‘If you follow their arguments, it means that they have lied for years about the fact that it was only written by Anne Frank'”
I wonder what all those judges in Germany are thinking now. For many years, they’d been deciding civil and criminal defamation cases involving The Diary of Anne Frank in favor of Otto Frank, who claimed that the book was the work of his daughter alone — and who wailed he was being defamed and harmed by revisionist historians who said that she wasn’t. And now it turns out that the revisionists were right all along. All the time. And Otto Frank, who won every case, should have lost every case. The German courts did the wrong thing over and over again for almost half a century.

This is as close as I could get to the 1980 NYP article on the ballpoint findings:

Anne Frank may not have inked that famous diary

Dated: October 9, 1980
Al Fredricks

New York Post

October 9, 1980
A REPORT by the German Federal Criminal Investigation Bureau (BKA) indicates that portions of The Diary of Anne Frank had been altered or added after 1951, casting doubt over the authenticity of the entire work, the West German news weekly Der Spiegel has disclosed.
The diary, a day-to-day account of the anguish of a young Jewish and her family hiding in their Amsterdam home during the Nazi invasion, has touched the hearts of millions.
The manuscript was examined on orders of a West German court as of a libel action brought by Otto Frank. Anne’s father and the only family member to survive the concentration camps, against Ernst Roeme for spreading the allegation the book was a fraud.
This was the second suit against Roemer, a long-time critic of the book, by Frank. In the first case, the court decided in Frank’s favor when the testimony of historians and graphologists sufficed to authenticate the diary.
In April, however, only a short time before Frank’s death on August 19, the manuscript was turned over to techicians of the BKA for examination.
The manuscript, in the form of three hardbound notebooks and 324 loose pages bound in a fourth notebook, was examined with special equipment.
The results of tests performed at the BKA laboratories show that portions of the work, specially of the fourth volume, were written with a ballpoint pen. Since ballpoint pens were not available before 1951, the BKA concluded, those sections must have been added subsequently. [*]
The examination of the manuscript did not, however, unearth any conslusive evidence to lay to rest the speculations about the authenticity of the first three notebooks.
  • Anne Frank fell ill with typhus at the Bergen-Belsen camp and died in March 1945.

Ever notice how whenever a conspiracy theory pops out, there seems to be a publicly misunderstood but similar variant of the theory that gets popularized around the same time and gains more traction that the actual theory itself and is way more well known and memetic than the rational theory?

Common ones being:

"An event (a tragedy, an epidemic, a disaster, etc-) didn't happen exactly as described" gets turned into "The event didn't happen AT ALL"
>911 was planned or predicted and permitted to happen => 911 didn't happen there were never towers it's all fake and gay jet fuel can't melt steel beams so there were never towers
>Covid was created in a lab and its' effects blown out of proportion => Covid never existed the disease itself was fake and gay we all imagined it it was never real

"This thing gets used for evil" gets turned into "This thing *is* evil and CARTOONISHLY BAD in ways that are downright unreasonable and not even beneficial"
>Feds use birds to spy on the population => Birds don't even EXISTS they're ROBOTS
>Chemicals in the air resulting from agricultural products harm peoples' health => Chemtrails are used intentionally to give us all the big gay and also super ass cancer and giga AIDS

"A slow and steady intentional process is happening over a period of time" gets turned into "Something extreme and impossible to ignore (and thus couldn't be happening) is happening right now really fast and in impossible to conduct ways!"
>Governments want to lower white birth rates and replace the white POPULATION with a newer diverse POPULATION, slowly, over the generations => They're kidnapping and replacing white INDIVIDUALS (your grandma, cashier, etc-) with colored clones!

I'm sure a couple of morons here and there fall for these, but their sudden popularity whenever a new theory pops up means either something is astroturfing them to make the real theory sound silly by association, or society has been trained to do this to themselves just to avoid cognitive dissonance by convincing themselves the theory is dumb and thus attach super hard to said few idiots and close their eyes and ears to anything that makes a lick of sense

I saw one of these just yesterday!

Fetal stem cell lines are used in the development of food additives (fact) → "They're putting aborted babies in the food!"

That's every 5G conspiracy theory ever. 5G is being implemented so it's easier to track people due to how many more cell towers they need to put up gets turned into "5G towers give you cancer and kill trees with RaDiAtIoN!!!!111!!!!!". I'm sure glowniggers have nothing to do with that. Just like how they didn't make flat earth and moon landing conspiracies mainstream on YouTube so actual conspiracy videos get banned.

we all know a strawman is easier to refute than a well thought out argument even if the argument is still false

that aside it definitely feels like people have slowly been trained to monitor their own wrongthink instead of having someone else do it
socially introduce to everyone a little mental guidebook on how to treat these dissenters when you see them, that way the job gets easier to do, like a dog being taught to walk itself and how its own leash in its mouth
same reason psychobabble has been forced on our world and language so much, no need to rush everyone who steps out of line to a loony bin anymore, now their own friends and neighbors can police and diagnose them with the same sorta language

likewise people have been shown what to do when someone comes speaking sense, don't run to the authorities anymore, this isn't the OLD times where you needed to tell a local officer that your neighbor might be a commie, now you can handle them by yourself, just follow the little book the way we thought you, repeat the lines
it helps if you assume every theorist is the same guy, that way you can catch them up on 'mistakes' they didn't make but must logically make since they all believe in the same thing

>covid was engineered in a lab
>but [all of] you think covid isn't even real!
>i never said that
>yes you think it, [all of] you conspiratards think it, so ha, gotcha!
>i don't think that
>but you're a conspiracy theorist, [all of] you believe in every theory!

Once conspiracies hit the mainstream internet, it was just a race to the bottom. Now you have tiktok videos that try to explain the complexity of powerful elite families running the world in a minute or two. How alien technology might exist on Earth in a grainy clip of some shape moving in the sky, complete with foreboding music. In fact, if it was that stupid low pitch VSTi pad synth shit going on, its almost certainly nonsense.

Its the flat earthers all over again. They have been around for a long time and were mostly viewed as harmless and kinda small. Nothing compared to the big 3 of cryptids, UFOs and government malfeasance. But then the global financial collapse happened and people were learning just who stole all the money and fucked everyone over. Woke came flying out the gates, as well as prime time television shows doing pieces on flat earthers. Its the enemy image psyop. Get some shit stained retarded on the show, make him look like a complete zombie, then presto, all the other strange people are no different from this guy. Flood in some experts from the nudge unit, CIA, all the gang, and you can fuck up any hope of sifting through the bollocks to get to the truth unless you are dedicated to the truth and nothing else. Which is a brutal path to take.

cellphone radiation IS dangerous and has shown to disrupt reproduction in, and eventually kill, mice in labs in more concentrated and direct doses
the doses we get from the towers aren't that strong (though it's possible the lower fertility rates can be caused by it in part, aside from other factors) but the fear here is that EVENTUALLY, if we keep putting out another "G" every few years, we will reach dangerous levels

people who oppose these theories fall for the boiling of the frog, they think "well you said number 1 was dangerous and it wasn't, and number 2 was more dangerous but nothing happened, and number 3 is even more dangerous and nothing... significant happened, so number 8264 must be fine too!"
if you enter a room with 10 RADs of radiation in it, that won't really hurt you
if the radiation suddenly jumps to 30, you'll still be fine, but it should raise concern that it keeps going
an idiot will look at it and say "well we weren't hurt at 30, why worry about 3000?"

This has been pointed out in this thread or some other events related thread a few times now if I remember right. Still, it continues to be "a thing". It's gotten worse as the "fake world" where dialogue is almost entirely based on the merit points of vague teams and authorities keeps solidifying. Some call it "reddit mentality" or some other site like twitter, which fits it but it predates that, in more nebulous forms before being fully harnessed post OWS fall and pozzing of tumblr. It's been getting even more petty and retarded since. This extends beyond the mere concept of conspiracy theories, and I've said it a number of times how it's been slowly corroding people around me to some extent the last few years, and I'm pretty sure some are 100% lost now. This mentality opens you to parrot really fucking retarded things from media like "ELON MUSK DID A NAZI SALUTE 100% REAL Even if you don't believe it because it"benefits the right/good people" and then that leads to "betraying or casting aside those close to me is ok because they might be the bad people supporting musk cause they didn't agree!"
It's a bizarre parasocial groupthink, for lack of a batter way of putting it. One with barely any solid ground to stand on, if any.

I mean the cells need to come from somewhere, right?
