Unless they fixed it I can totally see him abusing the Matilda bug in Suikoden 2 to trivialize the whole game. For those that don't know, in 2 there was a bug that let you access a high level area quite early, and the way leveling works in Suikoden makes it so it only takes you surviving 1 or 2 fights against high level enemies for your whole party to shoot up to level parity with the encounters there. So you could do this easy bug and be 30 levels above where you should be for the next third of the game.
There's also the Luca fight bug where he cannot attack you if you're fighting with the main character alone in the back row because all Lucas attacks are short range.

Not to mention you need to grind to earn money for weapon upgrades and armor
I find it ironic that he didn't play Monster Hunter Wilds (this year's big release) casue he didn't want to grind in it. (where in reality it's one of the few Monster Hunter games where you don't need to grind anything during the story.)

All of that to play a "remake" of an old game that only fans of the serie cares about.

Have to remember that he was asked about his favorite Suikoden character and couldn't even name one (dood it was 20 years ago), just hummed some music and said he loves the rock/paper/scissors boss battles or something.
I never played suikoden but knowing Phil he's probably a fake fan of the serie. After all suikoden is a name that usually comes up when you ask people their favorite jrpg, so I won't be surprised he claims being a fan to put on his king of retro persona.

I have yet to see a retro game where he actually has knowledge and is passionate about.

Beat me to it, the death rune in the first one makes it even easier since it will kill any normal enemy and if leveled can kill an entire enemy party with no loss in xp. Good times.

Btw the Remaster has difficulty grades (Easy, Normal, Hard) That is something the original didn't have (at least I can't remember them)

I think hes being honest when he says RPGs are his favorite style of game styles. (outside of gatcha style games) which is why he keeps trying to pick them up. No shade on RPGs as I love my weeb shit, but its very easy to trivialize most RPGS by turning your brain off and mindlessly grinding. Which is exactly what DSP wants out of a game, the ability to hit a button and win 97% of encounters.

Its just that its boring as shit to watch someone grind an RPG and requires an entertaining personality to carry it, which obviously isnt Phil.

I bet this is a time where ego trumps greed. Its important to his imagine that whever he goes, whatever he does, hes sucessful because hes a meaningful content creator.
Phil used to LOVE to grind in JRPGs. Remember when he played Final Fantasy X and grinded for hours between recording sessions? The Dragon Quest 11 grind? Yakuaza 7? He also tried to brute force his way through Demon's Souls by grinding.

Never forget Bloodborne where he grinded to Level 99 then curbstomped the bloodstarved Beast only to fail against later bosses

Playing trough them on hard and S1 is really short and easy. So if he goes on normal or easy it's gonna be a cakewalk. Hardest part so far was figuring out the army battle logic.

I also thought you were talking about Super Hound. I'm still not sold on the SH = Doody theory, name because Snort is super involved with the Ravens/OIP/Niggerverse side of things while Doody (AFAIK) stayed away from it. Doody is an attention whore so he would've attached his name to it immediately if given the chance (not to mention Snort doesn't refer to himself in the third person).
It's funny, I at one point thought Snort Hogan and Hate Army were the same individuals, as I noticed that they never seemed to post videos at the same time and the subject of said videos never seemed to overlap. In any case, it was uncovered a year and a half ago or so that there's some sort of alliance between Doody, Snort Hogan, and Hate Army. Whether that means they are actually the same person or are simply coordinating things is anyone's guess.

From TBS stream. Look at all this shit. Beautiful.

Very autistic prestream for sure. He seriously hates Druckmann so much (I understand it a bit he is a retard) that he just rants like crazy any time there is an article about him. Like seriously he might hate Druckmann more then Kojima back in the day at this point.
He's always loved having a living breathing target to project his bile towards and videogame directors don't often get the same level of recognition as say movie directors where they're regarded as the one with the vision. So any time phil can directly blame an individual you know he'll never pass up the opportunity to do so.. especially when he fucking sucks at their games or their lesbo scenes make him feel awkward about his own love of the same sex.

David Cage is the only one who never incurred his wrath because he only made walking sim quicktime event games that show you on screen at all times exactly what buttons to press. He praised this level of game design and called it intuitive.
This angle is absolutely horrible what a fucking eyesore. How can anyone possibly be this bad at everything they try to do?

Attached are two pictures from Phil’s lifetime top contributors on Kick. Void72 and ICS are both contributors and both have been hilariously banned. But Void72 unsubscribed after being booted. iCS remains subscribing, still giving Phil money

Prestream is DSP preloading potential wage quit for Suikoden saying RPG overload it's slow etc etc. In reality Suikoden is a very quick moving RPG and the remaster has enhanced battle speed options and easier auto fight for easy battles but he is going to make it seem like the slowest shittiest game ever made.
