I regret picking my username though. I drank way too much back in 2017. But it's a damned if I do, damned if I don't thing, because if I changed my username then everyone would be like UOOOOOOOH WHATCHA TRYING TO HIDE. I think the problem is sort of linguistic, "loli" is both a "genre" of porn which people are against, but its ALSO a label for young anime character females in GENERAL. And those both share the same term, but aren't NECESSARILY the same thing.

I don't necessarily have an issue with save the loli since I'm not aware of any really fucked behavior, and being from 2017, I can see the reasoning for it for non degenerate reasons (hell, "save the loli" gives me impression of being anti "pedo bear" too, as this was a term I saw floating about the chans before)

I don't think anyone's claiming Lolicon doesn't exist. Nor is anyone claiming it's more than a bit weird that it's just kinda OK in Japan to have random fanservice child characters in their works (especially since as such a standard trope any sufficiently wide cast will have at least one). But the word specifically has come to mean slang for girls (as well as the type of hentai, as well as the people who enjoy that type of hentai).
