Mexico is willing to work with Trump. Trudeau is grandstanding.
huh? So Canada is getting tariffed currently?

Canada got same relief.

But it will continue regardless.

Trump wants ALL the factories to return.

Ontario will be hit the most.

Quebec second.
So the bit about Mexico getting special treatment for cooperating is bullshit?

Didn't Trudeau resign? When is canadas next election?
He "resigned", but at the same time announced his resignation comes into effect when the Liberal Party has chosen a new leader, then he prorogued parliament, so the federal government is on ice until his successor is chosen. The next election is scheduled for October, but election dates in Canada are not set in stone and all the potential new Liberal leaders have said they won't necessarily stick to the date and may consider their swearing-in date as the start of a new mandate, which would give them potentially five years before calling one.

Yes, it is a total farce. Even worse, there is no way the people here can make a difference in the situation, as our constitution has an insane amending formula that basically amounts to saying "The constitution CAN be changed, but good fucking luck making it happen"

Their next election is on the 9th. Trudeau did say he'd resign, but not until the next Prime Minister is in office.
That isn't an election, it is the Liberal Party leadership vote, but since the Liberals form the current government, whoever the Party votes in is automatically our new PM, even if they don't already have a seat in Parliament.

From what I'm seeing, no tariff currently for everything under the last free trade agreement, so basically everything. Steel/aluminum tariff still coming for the 12 barring change. I know trump want milk tarrifs at 250% ( matches current quebec ''gestion de l'offre'' system) tho there's really not much point anyway because the milk industry produces over the need easily so exportation is a tiny fraction

Crackhead Ford getting a bit too high on '''''canada strong'''' copium and saying he's still gonna push for electricity tariff. I heard that some PM's want to keep the tariff even tho Trump removed them because, again, retarded

Good news.

All the energy tariff only affects Democrat states.

Democrats storm out of the room to protest a speech against men invading women’s spaces.

NH State Rep Erica Layon (R) gave a fiery speech defending women's rights and calling out radical gender ideology that lets men invade women's spaces.

The Democrats tried to silence her through a vote and failed. After failing to silence her, the Dems stormed out of the room.

Can someone translate this for me?
In DBZ, the Saiyan race gets taxes put on them by a superior white space alien. Gohan is a little Saiyan boy who gets tariffs placed on him, so he gets angry and dyes his hair blonde to fit in. This doesn't work, and he is anally violated by a bugman. Just like Canada.

this is true for tchotchkes that dont matter but i dont know if an apple or samsung will keep the prices same.
Apple has a pretty high markup. This source says:
how-much-profit-does-apple-make-per-iphone.png
An iPhone is sold at 119% above cost.

Apple can easily "afford" to eat a tariff increase. Whether they do that depends on politics and marketing.

Apple announced $500 billion investment in the US

When TSMC announced $100 billion in new chip factories in America the CEO made sure to say Apple and other companies made the deal possible.

Tim "Apple" Cook was at the inauguration.

Trump has "went to bat" for the tech companies by telling Europe to fuck off with their lawsuits against the tech companies.

So far, tech companies are going along with Trumps plans. If that continues I would think they would avoid price hikes blamed on tarrifs.

This platform is electoral cyanide for the Democrats at every level of politics and they cannot let it go. You love to see it.
