I’m not a tattoo expert but that looks like American traditional. Thick black lines are a part of the style but those lines (particularly around the heart) look too thick. If you look at the cross up close, you can see some of those lines aren’t straight. If you look at the stars (or whatever they are) those lines aren’t straight either nor consistent. Also a bunch of those circles look like ass. I don’t see the stars holding out very well after healing.

I thought acid cat from ink master was a cool tattoo though; so take what I say with a grain of salt, but this tattoo is certifiably mediocre.

I hadn’t seen this one yet because I just scroll through the thread mainly to see what froggy fresh’s wife says to be honest but this one doesn’t look too much better.

You can still see a lot of the shaky lines from before. If you look at the eyebrows, the consistency doesn’t match each other. One eyebrow starts to fade at the end and the other is relatively consistent through the whole way. A yellow piss stache was another horrible choice by the artist. It was done for shading but that choice of color there doesn’t really make sense to me, plus yellow fades really fast. The piss stache will be gone within a couple of years (especially being on the hand). The shading on the forehead doesn’t really make sense. It’s shaded basically the same on both sides of the crack and looks particularly awful on the right side of the forehead. The eye shape is wonky as hell and the flames look childish.

If this artist was on ink master, I don’t think they’d make it past the initial trial.
