This does raise a question in my head which is what UB sets couple the pick to onboard zoomers and alpha?

So real talk I think the end goal of UB is to transition magic to be something like weiß schwarz or Hasbros' licensed monopoly series of board games. Essentially WOTC makes the game system and will just license IP to make the cards more appealing.

I think this is going to happen sooner then later and mtg story is going to be retired or abandoned. The writings on the wall with how bad engagement/sales on standard sets has been since MOM.

It becomes like a philosophical question. Fortnight is already "kitchen soup" as it is. Blending it with another kitchen soup product, what really makes it "fortnight"?

If planeswalkers had their own fortnight skin, we could loop back around to something like fortnight Chandra in Magic, meaning we end up back at... magic?
