Agreed. TMI but I have a family member whose husband acts the same. He wants to be a good, sweet husband so he does whatever his wife wants and lets her walk all over him, not realizing he's making her and the relationship worse by being so spineless. There's a difference between being equals and kind to each other, versus letting one person entirely hold the reins (especially when the person holding said reins isn't too bright or kind themselves). Can happen to anyone of either gender.
